Responsible for CapEx $400 Million Power transmission/ Generation, IT and Telecomm projects to provide new emergency call and response network in all over Oman. Projects involve establishing Network operation centers, Emergency resource management, Ground Based Network (IP/ MPLS), Transmission Backhaul, Computer aided dispatch, IP telephony and Tetra (Data & Voice) radio network. It also includes projects on integrating existing obsolete systems with the new systems.
• Collaborate to focus on priorities, defining investment requirements and the prioritization of projects. Also influence build vs Buy/ Outsource decisions. Collaborate with other organization to utilize the right tools for solutions delivery.
• Review documentation for bidding and oversee selection of third party vendors.
• Allocate resources based on the priorities, shifting as necessary to meet the needs of the business. Manage project resource loading and coordinated disciplines for the technical and project Deliverables.
• Instil an approach of setting and delivering on the goals for key metrics around performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Supervise generation of the preliminary plans, cost estimation, economic assessment, preparation of AFEs and ERs.
• Ensure application of standards to minimize variances and facilitate controlling the value, cost & time of the project.
• Develop application roadmaps to retire old technologies, while evaluating new enabling technologies with regards to mobile computing and cloud computing, as necessary, to support the evolving business.
• Review monthly reports showing the status of design, material procurement, construction, milestones, AFE (Authorisation for Expenditure) commitments, payments, charges, variances from standards, waivers and problems.

• Overall responsible for the Management of projects from cradle to grave, through different PDM (Project Delivery Module) phase and to identify KPI & VIP. Organized Gate review process for the approval of top management.
• Supported generation of preliminary plans, cost estimation, economic assessment, preparation of AFEs and ERs.
• Coordinated disciplines for the technical and project deliverables. Ensured documents met required Quality and the estimates have the required accuracy. Organized project Risk Assessment and Value Improvement Process.

The company was subcontractor of General Electric (GE-PII). The projects included Seismic Data Processing & Data Management and pipeline data analysis for GE Energy. The company was also involved in providing Data warehousing and setting up special data centers for GE.

• Created and managed detailed project information related to schedule, scope and cost for manager.
• Reported project cost and schedule status to management for internal reviews as well as for analysing cost variances and recommending corrective actions for projects.

Training and experience involved usage of Integrated Computer Systems, Telecommunications, Computer Networks, Electrical Solutions, Radar Systems and Automation equipment from major suppliers including Thales - Thomson CSF, Hughes, Rockwell, Siemens, Climax, Alcatel, Motorola, Nortel and Ericsson. During the service interacted with different vendors and carry out project feasibility studies, recommend most viable options based on operational and maintenance costs, technological factors and other relevant parameters. Also provided Quality Audit services including evaluating training, issuing Work Authorization Card (WAC) based on currency and proficiency of personnel on systems.
