Ensures that the high standards of cleanliness are maintained in all areas of the kitchen such as machinery, small kitchen equipment, floors and fridges.
•Oversees the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in a restaurant.
•Responsible for the direction and coordination of all food preparation, function carried out in one or more kitchen including butcher, pasta section, pizza section, COLDand HOT section.
•Assists and supports the sous chef with developing the menus and set standard recipes.
•Carries out all mise en place needed.
•Works in the main kitchen as a reliever chef and also during big banqueting section.
•Assists in all kitchen activities including ordering for supplies and budget control.
•Assists with the selection and training of other kitchen staff
•Meal preparation.
•Assists in the smooth running of the kitchen service.
•Ensures that customers are served quality food and in a timely manner.
