Manager Strategy
Currently working as Assistant Manager (with the managerial grade) in Strategy department of Zong.
Key responsibility is to assist in setting the performance managements targets and KPIs across the company and alignment of objectives and KPIs with the corporate strategy
Assisting in Short term and long term Strategy building and finalization by working on the following dimensions:
o Business and industry analysis
o Business objectives and targets setting
o Support to departments to set and align their strategic direction with the company level strategic direction
o Assisting in Setting the department level short term and long term strategic objectives and targets
o Strategy awareness and branding across the organization
Responsible for short term and long term Strategy execution by supporting and creating cross departmental alignment.
Working extensively on performance management tool, concepts, objectives and KPIs setting for the company level strategy execution and monitoring;
o Developed balanced scorecard for commercial, technical and support departments by creating the alignment with the company and business level balanced scorecards
o Responsible to coordinate with all the departments for the maintenance of balanced scorecard
o Responsible to conduct Quarterly strategy review sessions to evaluate the performance against the defined objectives and targets by keeping track of company and departmental balanced scorecard
o Review of departments’ performance, analysis reports and action plan for the missed targets
o Calculation of performance scores based on the performance evaluation set criteria
Working as a strategy liaison between commercial and technical to ensure the achievement of business objectives and targets.
Responsible to assist the departments in the execution of strategic projects to reduce the cross departmental dependencies.
Responsible to perform different business and industry analysis to provide required support to the management; Worked on tax proposal for telecom industry presented to Finance ministry for the provision of tax relief to Pakistan telecom industry; worked on Pakistan Budget impact on Telecom industry; ARPU analysis report, and many other reports as required by the management.
Worked as Telecom/IT expert with extensive experience in BSS domain.
Worked as Head of Business Solutions Team for Corporate products.
Was responsible for the Multimedia & Broadband Products and Solutions.
Was responsible to realize corporate visions through IT systems by understanding business and its impacts and proposing timely, efficient and effective BSS / OSS solutions.
Prepared and implemented strategies to align the systems’ functionalities with the commercial’s offerings. Prepared and implemented plans to help business departments to meet their targets for launch of different products and services.
As a project manager, managed complete solution development life cycle including Requirements Analysis, Solution Design, internal and vendor dependent solutions development, Acceptance testing with business, and Final implementation in the system.

Corporate Projects: designed and implemented solutions to make launch of major corporate products successful (Cloud Computing, Data Center Customer Care, Provisioning and Billing Solutions, Business Broadband VPN, I-Sentry, IP Video Phone, Web hosting, BDSL Premium). Received worth mentioning appreciation from management for giving cost-efficient solutions to meet difficult timelines and to be aligned with the business strategies. Based on Analytical skills, problem solving, solution designing, communication and leadership and appreciation from commercial departments, I have been assigned as head of corporate solutions.
Multimedia & Broadband Projects: Launched revenue leading products of PTCL successfully. Worked as an expert and advisor for different offerings of these consumer products. Products launched are Consumer Broadband, Student Broadband, IPTV, Dual Play, Triple Play and Quad Play, PSTN & VAS and many others.
ERP project of PTCL was to make manual systems automated, shifting of all the company data from Oracle HRMS to SAP. Project consisted of various modules like Financials and Controlling, Human Capital Management (HCM), Materials Management, Net Weaver, Network Lifecycle Management - Plant Maintenance and Network Lifecycle Management - Project Systems.
Worked on SAP_HCM module and played a key role in the PTCL’s first payroll run on SAP. The sub-modules in HCM worked on were Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Time Management, Payroll, Training and Event Management, Personnel Development and Appraisals.
Received training on SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) Module and worked as the SAP HCM Functional IT Users and trained the HCM users to make them own the new system. The sub-modules in HCM worked on were Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Time Management, Payroll, Training and Event Management, Personnel Development and Appraisals.
Worked as Technical Resume Editor.
The responsibilities included editing the resumes’, broadcasting the Job Requirements, posting the Job Requirements and uploading resumes’ on ACT! (MA’s database).
Received training for Technical Recruiting.
