Working as a Senior HSE Officer in UCC - Qatar. Determines and Implements the HSE rules and regulations across the Department with 6 members HSE Team. Initiated to create a Positive Safety culture across the department.
Main job descriptions as follows.
1).Working as Sr. HSE Officer and overseeing safety matters related to dredge related marine works and vessels.
2).Implement emergency response plan and coordinate emergency response drills.
Provide advice about the norms applicable in Health, Safety and Environmental protection.
3).Identifies high risk potentials in the work place and advice appropriate control measures.
4).Carry out pre-mobilization inspection of vessels and equipment’s.
5).Taking corrective measures for elimination of hazard. Identifying and assessing risk, preparing safe work procedures by following method statements.
6).Maintaining the statistics of accident, incident and near misses.
7).Planning the remedial and preventive measures according to the frequency of the occurrences
8).Preparing emergency evacuation procedures and conducting fire drills and educating the work force about the evacuation procedures.
9).Carrying out regular meetings/ trainings on observation of safety standards at various work places and at sites.
10).Ensuring operational safety across the entire plant, project sites and providing immediate first aid in case of accident as a first step before initiating any major treatment, if felt necessary.
11).Investigating accidents, analyzing the root cause and making arrangement for safety, penalizing employees for indulging in unsafe practices.
12).Liaising with state authorities like civil defense, police and municipality and also with clients for matters of safety and external administration.
13).Documentation and upkeep of safety records.
14).Monitored Critical Activities on site & corrected the unsafe practices followed by the workers.
15).Provided necessary help to work force in maintaining good housekeeping & proper waste disposal.
16).Organized “Safety Enhancement Scheme” for the motivation of the workers & distributed various prizes to the workers.
17).Monitored strict compliance of “Permit to Work” system at worksite & explain the importance of the same to the workers.
18).Ensure full dedication by all personnel to achieve zero accident and incident in the site.
19).Set standard for Safe and Healthy execution of rigging & lifting works.
20).Refreshing the line management about their responsibilities towards HSE.
21).Develops and presents recommendations and advises site level of management to ensure balance between productivity and the safety of team members, sub- contractors, and visitors.
22).Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents.
23).Organized monthly safety meetings and discussed HSE related issues, received the suggestion from the management.
24).To investigate and report on complaints of hazardous working conditions to the appropriate senior staff.
25).Identify and analyses the hazard related with noise, dust and environmental pollution
