MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Corporate IT Manager: responsible for all activities within the NCT&H IT Department and controls and approves all technical activities and budgets from Hotel’s IT Managers, over 8 Hotel IT Managers reporting directly to me.
• Direct reporting to the CFO & CEO for all IT related matters.
• Strategic decision maker, planed and deployed multimillion projects in various fields with significant ROI.
• Infrastructure Project Manager having strong negotiation skills during project deployments of newly constructed or refurbished Hotels.
• Holding meetings with the vendors for all IT requirements of the Corporation and the Group of Hotels and preparing proposals comparison analysis with recommendations to the CFO & CEO for approvals.
• April 2010, achieved a very smooth merging of two companies (Pearl Azure Hotel Management LLC and Emirates Hotels Company) to NCT&H infrastructure.
• Maintaining over 15 Web Domains, five of them are business email domains having over 800 email IDs over the cloud.
• successfully implemented and deployed Microsoft AX ERP for our Retail Division (role Project Manger) and Microsoft Retail Management System RMS for the POS on the Shops using Device to Device VPN connectivity platform and Citrix XenApps.
• Design and implement security processes and procedures and make sure that all IT Mangers strictly follow and comply to the governing IT rules and strategies.
• Working along with all Hotels IT Managers to build our private cloud using available verbalization technologies to build centralized high available Data Center with a Disaster Recovery Plan at Hardware level and Application level on 24/7 bases to ensure mission critical activities remain functional.
• Manages and controls the BMS and access control system, PABX System by granting Telephone Privileges and maintaining the Billing system for each extension.
• Production of manuals and training the users on various available computer applications and systems.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• IT in-charge and a Member of the Technical Committee Teem nominated by H.E. Shaikh Hamadan Bin Mubark Al Nahyan, Under Secretary Department of Civil Aviation. To look after the IT infrastructure along with other team members of the Civil Aviation Department.
• To perform necessary analysis and designs for new and existing in-house application software as and when required.
• Participating in production of policies.
• Identifying needs for software or hardware upgrades and preparing presentations.
• Holding meetings with the vendors for any IT requirements of ADAS and obtaining approvals from Civil Aviation Department.
• Contacting vendors for proposed solutions and maintaining liaison for future requirement and support.
• Design and implement security processes and procedures and perform cost benefit analysis on all recommended strategies.
• Reviewing to ensure that physical and logical security procedures related to desktop security are being followed (e.g., procedures to maintain inventory of computer equipment, virus protection procedures, license monitoring procedures, use of screen saver and boot-up passwords, etc.)
• Production of manuals and training the users on various available computer applications and systems.
