• Perform regular site inspections or respond to notification to avoid incident or injury.

• Assist General Manager National Service in formulating strategy and business plans for Service department
Operational
• Improve revenue generation by ensuring customer satisfaction and retention by ensuring professional vehicle service delivery to service customers (retail and fleet) in line with MMC & MFTBC standards
• Conduct regular random checks on service operations on the workshop shop floor to check for compliance on all stages of the service cycle and provide on the spot feedback
• Analyze and track performance of productive and non-productive personnel employed in the workshop by means of control sheets and efficiency reports generated by Accounts and customer feedback data received from other sources on a regular basis
• Schedule work and assign overtime tasks to personnel based on work requirements
• Drive performance improvements in the workshop on internal audit and CSI parameters, Safety Health and Environment (SHE) norms
• Ensure that standard quality control and safety checks are carried out after vehicle repair
• Work closely with departments such as Warranty, Customer Relations and Parts and ensure optimal service solutions to customers
• Provide technical expertise and information to workshop personnel where required
• Execute any new systems and procedures related to service operations based on MMC and MFTBC guidelines
• Interact with representatives of Insurance companies to settle third party claims from them for Alesayi customers
• Recommend additional discounts to one or more service customers to Group Service Manager and discuss these cases with him
• Comply with Quality Standards and Health & Safety procedures affecting self and others
• Perform routine activities in accordance with agreed deadlines and standards and discharge any other task assigned by superiors in a timely and effective manner
• Assist colleagues and foster an environment of teamwork and collaboration
• Contribute to the department’s development by providing timely suggestions and feedback.
• Make requisite attempts to handle customer complaints in a prompt and effective manner and as per company policies and practices and escalate cases to his/her superior if required.
• Daily manage Service Control Accounts
• Ensure high levels of housekeeping is maintained
• Monitor expenses and implement cost reduction actions
People Management
• Provide inputs to General Manager of National Service Division regarding manpower planning, hiring and promotion of personnel
• Identify individual training needs, nominate staff on training and provide development inputs on the basis of performance reviews; ensure multi-skilling of technicians/ mechanics on various workshop operations
• Track performance of service personnel on various incentive performance parameters (such as hours saved, warranty and service revenue performance) and provide them with feedback on their performance
• Maintain and promote staff motivation
• Carry out performance appraisals as per company policies and procedures
• Make requisite attempts to handle all grievances raised by subordinates in a prompt and effective manner and escalate such matters to own superior if required
• Manage and coordinate activities concerned with acquisition of automotive equipment and operation and maintenance of automotive fleet repair and storage facilities.
• Coordinate activities of personnel conducting research and testing program on automotive equipment considered for acquisition based on such factors as operational performance, costs of operation and maintenance, operational safety, and compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
• Review and submits staff proposals for modifications to vendor or manufacturer.
• Manage procurement of all types of company owned and operated automotive equipment and materials, supplies, and parts required to maintain automotive equipment, garages, and storage facilities.
• Coordinate automotive repair and maintenance services to obtain maximum utilization of automotive equipment and prevent operational delays in other departments.
• Handle daily loading work inside the workshop to insure the product quality.

Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules.
Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions.
Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.
Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system.
Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation.
Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications.
Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
