I am the warehouse officer for the UN International Organization for Migration in Qatar. I am responsible for the non-food items warehouse including the staff. Supervise and coordinate all warehouse tasks and activities and plan and conduct periodic warehouse physical inspections to ensure accuracy of inventory counts. Monitor the implementation of periodic physical inventory counts.
I was responsible for all logistics related activities at UNFPA.
- Undertaking logistics capacity assessments for implementing partners.
- Reviewing the partners supply chain workflow and developed it for better effective results.
- Worked with the implementing partners to automate the warehouse transactions and developed the automated flow and procedures for the warehouse stock-in/ stock out transactions in order to have a warehousing module system.
- Designing the supply chain mapping and value stream and assisting the implementing partners (IP’s) to improve the supply chain process and provide solutions to the bottlenecks
- Undertaking quarterly inventory spot checks for IP’s.
handling the procurement and inventory issues at the logistics department in addition to managing the assets of mission in Amman further to working on SAP as PPP then PGR roles. I was sent to Erbil and Basra hubs in order to provide the logistics support to the logistics staff in the hubs where I was responsible to follow up all the procurement matters related to the in-kind grants and coordinated, with the procurement staff in the hubs, the purchases of items and availability in the warehouse for statistical and follow up purposes and ensure the work progress. I conducted the asset inventory and handled the inventory database. Further, I also provided many logistics/ procurement trainings to the respective staff inside Iraq in Basra and Erbil.
I was involved in programme activity implementation as I was, in the Programme for Human Security and Stabilisation (PHSS) which provides the vlunerable people with in-kind income generating grants. I was responsible for activities implementation in 3 sub-offices in Iraq and assessed the business plans of the programme applicants. I also was handling the logistics and procurement issues of all PHSS sub-offices such as establishing and furnishing an office. In addition, I coordinated with the logistics department in terms of doing the first filter, assessing and seeking the endorsement of the bids analyses summaries related to the offices of responsibility, also I was the programme logistics focal point in Amman and handled the inventory of the PHSS programme offices in Iraq
