Financial planning and control Department - Corporate Financial Control unit ( May 2017- current)
1-Looking after the financials of the commercial unit specifically the Marketing division. Constant monitoring and improving the financial performance to insure strong performance against budgets.
2-Revenue enhancement opportunities. (Working closely with the business to explore current opportunities that can help generate more revenue to Etihad)

Preparing Monthly Cost Book
-Preparing monthly reports of East Coast airports operations performance
-Carryout a detailed monthly analysis of actual expenditures versus budget
-Working closely with operations on a regular basis to provide planning and analysis support to meet country / regional goals and track performance
Profit Improvement Initiative
-Identifying the cost reduction opportunities in The Americas region
-Analyzing new business models to drive profitability
-Preparing reports and initiatives and present findings to the Board of Directors
Budget Preparation:
-Assisted in the preparation of the 2017 Budget for both commercial and operation side. Scope of work focused on USA station
-Meeting with the commercial and airport mangers to discuss and finalize budget target for the year, in order to meet the company’s target
-Detailed Explanation of all the budget major costs for the management
Financial Reporting:
-Audit and compliance: Putting together audit check list for the US stations as a preparation for the USA Audit to insure a solid control environment that comply with the corporate governance structure, Contracts Manual/Standard operating procedure and Manual of Authority issued by the Company. Offices must meet the requirements of both internal, external and government auditors
-Taxation filing: full reasonability in filling Etihad US taxes for both Ticket taxes and fuel taxes
-Establishing and Initiating from scratch the ETIHAD USA tax manual
-Fixed assets Registrar: Taking full responsibility in putting together the fixed asset register of the whole USA Etihad Stations
-Assisted in the preparation for the Etihad USA ticket tax audit. Creating document that helped in the process of reviewing and matching payments
-Was part of the corporate governance and compliance group
-Putting together a monthly newsletter that included some key areas and procedures that need to be followed. In addition it highlighted the concerns and areas that need to be focused on. The newsletter also included guidance and tips on various corporate governance procedures
