As a member of the global Resource Mobilization team for the IFRC and the Senior Resource Mobilization at the Middle East and North Africa Zone, I support the implementation of the Federation Wide Resource Mobilisation Strategy, maximising resource opportunities for all (18) Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies in the MENA zone, and supporting National Societies’ fundraising and resource mobilization efforts and capacities by leveraging the international status of the IFRC. Working within agreed strategic priorities, I take part in the zone’s long term and annual planning/budgeting process, mobilize the needed resources including cash and in-kind. In addition to that, I lead all resource mobilization efforts for natural ald human-made disasters in the region (including Syria Crisis). In addition to that, I lead on any partnership, relationship management or knowledge management matters and a member of any task forces convened by the zone office.

On the programs side:
Responsible to monitor, follow-up and facilitate the coaching of the Lebanese Red Cross Society (LRCS) on implementation of programs such as Community Based Health and First Aid, Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction, HIV Aids, Prisons, Development of Humanitarian Norms, Organizational Development of the LRCS, PMER cycles, strategies and plans…
Attending meetings, seminars, camps and trainings related to youth, health disaster preparedness and disaster response.
Responsible to follow up on building the contingency plans of the LRCS on National Level.
On the finance side:
Responsible on all finance related matters (donors and funds, annual appeals, budgets, cash and bank..) at Lebanon delegation in coordination with the MENA Zone office in Amman and the HQ in Geneva.
Due to the absence of the Head of Delegation position in Lebanon during the period April - December 2011, I was responsible for all duties of the Head of Delegation and reported directly to the MENA Zone in Amman.
i- Program Officer, Beirut - Lebanon
The Rehabilitation of Gaza Compound Project for a value of €2 million project funded by NMFA and ECHO and targeting 915 beneficiaries.
Manage construction contractors, including reviewing BOQs, specifications and conditions of contracts.
Prepare payment certificates.
Assist in new proposals and budgets.
Control the cash flow, ensuring applicable documentations and payment procedures.
Control admin and logistics and procurement procedures.
Member of the senior board of the projects.
Attend Building Committee meetings to discuss beneficiaries needs and demands.
Capacity surge for field work
Responsible for the Budget Follow up and checking the financial aspect of the project with accuracy of financial reporting to donors.
ii- Office Manager, Tyr - Lebanon
Shelter Projects targeting Palestinian Gatherings and Shelter Waterproofing and Rehabilitation Project funded by ECHO and NMFA. Total contract value €2.5 million
Manage construction contractors, including reviewing BOQs, specifications and conditions of contracts.
Prepare payment certificates.
Manage the Procurement process
Train and manage a team of three members on procuring the construction materials of more than 221 items.
Accomplish a market assessment and a tender process in accordance with the donor’s and NRC procedures.
Responsible for putting a system for stock control and inventory handling, and payments for suppliers and contractors.
Responsible to write a Tender Evaluation Report and a handover for the Tyr office Coordinator.
Build up a traceable Information System and Data base for more than 5, 000 assessed families in twelve villages including technical and social information.
Analyse and follow up with the Data base and daily reports from the field.
Manage the day to day missions of the field teams.
Manage information flow during the project and provide up to date information so that plans and decisions in the field are taken in convenience.
Responsible for the payment system and contract follow up signed with contractors.
iii- Finance and Admin Officer, Tyr - Lebanon
Shelter Projects for The Rehabilitation of Destroyed Houses In The 2006 War - €3.7 million funded by ECHO and NMFA.
Follow up on budgets including office and field expenditures and forecasts with analysis and provide the necessary advice to the Project Manager.
Administrate and keep control of HR, logistics and admin procedures and follow ups.
Support in preparing the final reports of the project with all needed annexes.
Responsible for the Budget Follow up and checking the financial aspect of the project with accuracy of financial reporting to donors.
iv- Project Assistant, Nabatieh - Lebanon
The Shelter project funded by MFA and ECHO in Nabatieh area for rehabilitating and waterproofing 1, 000 houses in ten villages in South Lebanon - €1.9 million
Assist Engineers, Project Coordinators, and Field Officer throughout their reports and daily tasks.
Prepare a data base entry of assessments for about 2000 beneficiaries.
Assist in following up HR and admin procedures and routines for about 25 staff.
Support in the Cash Payment project for 1, 000 beneficiaries.
Assisting in performing a needs assessment survey in southern villages in Lebanon affected by the 2006 war.
