Mechanical Engineer & Project Manager
Amzone International
Total years of experience :12 years, 11 Months
• Designed and implemented cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety and reliability;
• Searched for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximized client potential in designated regions;
• Developed long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements, offered technical solutions where necessary
• Maintained professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewed professional publications; established personal networks; participated in professional societies.
• Managed the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
• Made technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs and
liaised with other members of the sales team and other technical experts.
• Read project specifications and provided feedback from an engineering perspective, additionally, prepared the engineering planning for the project (procedures/analysis) together with the Lead Engineer.
• Provided input to improve and develop standard procedures and working guidelines, subsequently improving safety of the site both onshore and offshore
• Responsible for engaging young students & post graduates in an effort to persuade them to consider Queen Mary as a viable & attractive option
• Taught workshops of first year and second year students basic 2-D computer modelling & testing using Abaqus
• Represented the organisation to students, the public, engineering company officials and other external sources, being the bridge between the student body and the alumni/university officials.
• Assigned group leader and responsible delegating tasks, resolving issues, and manufacturing innovative control systems for existing technologies, also managing the operations of the Medical Start-up
• Novel Designs were tested and rapid prototyping techniques were used to gauge the feasibility of the products manufactured, additionally, 3-D modelling of shells and designs using Solidworks were implemented and tested practically.
• Research biocompatible polymers to reduce the rejection mechanism that the body will have, further improving understanding of the GastroIntestinal tract in the process.
• Materials based project with Dunlop Aircraft Tyres to make current generation of rubber tyres more durable, increasing the lifetime by using different manufacturing and curing methods
• Used 3-D modeling software to create specific moulds to use inconjunction with the rubber compounds used.
• Studied integration of polymers in tyres, subsequently, studied the advanced behaviour of
rubber under different environmental circumstances.
• Arranged & coordinated quantifying major equipment and quality control, which resulted in smoother negotiations with pricing from manufacturers
• Was delegated projects to analyse and screen inconsistencies in the engineering schematics and Bill of Quantities
• Read & interpreted blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer generated reports
- Incorporate and manage uncertainty and risk within supply chain management - Segment different customers, products, and channels and design an optimal portfolio of logistics approaches and strategies for these various segments - Identify, design, and implement the appropriate forecasting methodology for each segment - Identify, design, and implement the appropriate inventory replenishment policy for each segment - Select the optimal transportation routing and modal choice for each segment - To apply core methodologies (probability, statistics, optimization) used in supply chain modeling and analysis - To understand and use fundamental models to make trade-offs between forecasting, inventory, and transportation - To design supply chain networks as well as financial and information flows - To understand how supply chains act as systems and interact - How technology is used within supply chains; from fundamentals to packaged software systems - End to end supply chain management
