My responsibilities have included the following
- Previously deployed as a Personal Banking Officer (P.B.O) at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Branch overseeing Customer Dealing, Account Opening, Customer Correspondence and Term Deposit Certificate entries on T24 Banking Application as well as Manual entries in Ledgers as well as reconciling and fixing customer information & providing accurate information to potential and walk-in customers, generating leads and maintaining strict compliance of Banking rules & regulations at Branch End.
- Worked in the call center falling under the Alternate Distribution Channels Department, I oversaw activation/deactivation of VISA Debit cards, Account Balances, ATM Monitoring and Customer Solutions.
- Responsible for providing accurate information to potential and walk-in customers, generating leads and maintaining strict compliance of Banking rules & regulations during activation and deactivation of debit cards, reporting unethical rules, practices and non-compliance of rules at branch end to top levels of Management as well as all departments notably Service Quality, Country Operations, Alternate Distribution Channels, Consumer Banking, Product Development and Shariah Compliance and Compliance Departments.
- Spent time as Trainee Officer on rotation at North Napier Road branch where I was rotated in the Branch Operations and Personal Banking Departments, overseeing account opening, clearing, remittances, Lockers, Customer Correspondence and Term Deposit Certificate entries on T24 Banking Application as well as Manual entries in Ledgers as wekk aspersonal selling, personal branding, cross selling and promoting, provided financial consulting to customers in deciding which product is best suited for them during rotation in the Personal Banking Department.
- Attended 25 days of Training sessions on Orientation to Islamic Banking and Meezan Bank's environment including Retail Banking Products, General Banking sessions related to Compliance Measures, Anti Fraud and Forgery Measures, Types of Deposit Products, Types of accounts, account opening: Rules & Procedures, Remittances, Clearing and Trade Finance sessions including Shariah Module Sessions namely Murabaha Structure and Rules and it's applications, Ijarah, Musharakah and Mudarabah, Overview and Core Understanding of Meezan Bank's Consumer Banking Products namely, Easy Home, Laptop Ease, Car Ijarah as well as Sessions on Soft Skills, Corporate Communication and Image and Service Quality.
- Also gave a Presentation & Report related to my 3 month rotation as a Training Officer in which I received a very outstanding ranking in comparison to other colleagues.
I have recently completed Masters of Business Administration at Mohammad Ali Jinnah University with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.22. I have been involved in numerous constructive activities & also hold a good reputation amongst my colleagues & course instructors. Following are my achievements at Mohammad Ali Jinnah University: Runner up in Kasoti Competition. 3rd place in General Knowledge competition. Participants certificate in Theater competition. 6th place in singing competition. Best Singer of the picnic. Semi-Finalist in Futsal Competition.
Graduated with a Bachelor of Studies Degree in Business Administration from the University of Karachi in December 2010, majoring in Marketing. During my time at Karachi University, I have participated twice in the Annual Sports Tournament of the University of Karachi in 2009 and 2010 as Goalkeeper of Karachi University Business School's Field Hockey Team where the Team lost in the quarterfinals in 2009 to Social Works Department and in the semifinals in 2010 to Department of Public Administration. I played in both matches and it was unfortunate for me and my team no to reach the Final in 2010.
