• Establish time frame schedule and construction tracking percentage sheets.
• Formulation/implementation of all pre-commissioning and commissioning plans to liaise with the contractor and the owner company handling all activities. This includes the preparation of procedure follow-up reports and related documentation submission.
• Ensure that all construction materials and equipment are in accordance with project specifications.
• Applying service tests to ensure the functionality of construction materials and equipment before commissioning.
• As a part of a multi-discipline team, I was also responsible for the following; assist with delivery of commissioning procedures, completion and commissioning check sheets, handover certificates and punch lists for Oil and Gas plant systems.
• Using Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) and breaking plants into systems and sub systems (function systemization) in accordance with commissioning tracking system (CTS) procedures and Guidance on Certification (GOC).
• Prepare observation reports considering all activities/equipment or fittings that are compliant with standards in the construction phase. This includes following -up with the construction team to clear all items in order to minimize punch lists and reduce overall construction time.
• Ensure that all pipelines are connected to the right inlet and outlet equipment ports.
• Ensure piping and vessels are free of any damages and being sure of its welding joints by conducting hydrostatic tests and monitoring pressure and temperature values over time on charts.
• Ensure piping is a scale free by performing flushing (water/air) and blowing tests.
• Checking vessels internals and making sure of its cleanness.
Positive displacement pumps maintenance and diagnosing breakdown problems.
• Roto-dynamic (horizontal, vertical) pumps maintenance and alignment.
• Preventive maintenance for Air compressors.
• Installation, repair and maintenance of hydraulic power unit pumps.
• Involved into maintenance and top end overhaul of caterpillar gas generators 3516.
• Corrective and preventive maintenance Caterpillar-Olympian-diesel generator to ensuring a high quality performance.
• Directly involved in two plant complete shutdowns as maintenance engineer considering the following: pressure safety valves calibration and re-installation, dismantling four gas/gas exchangers caps using pneumatic hi-force machine, replacing damaged control valves with new a ones, initiate nitrogen leak test and flange management insurance.
• Directly involved in replacing plug and seat for choke valves for offshore platform (AKHEN)
• Maintenance for positive displacement pumps and TEXTEAM pumps in AKHEN platform.
• Formulation/implementation of all pre-commissioning and commissioning plans to liaise with the contractor and the owner company handling all activities including procedure write-up and documentation submission.
• Conducting chemical cleaning process to critical pipelines (compressors suction lines) ensuring pipelines cleanness quality.
• Conducted piping lube oil flushing processes for oil passages inside turbines all the way to bearings ensuring a long life for bearings.
• Checking mechanical equipment internals for its presence and if any damages were found prior final boxing.
• Ensure system integrity by conducting Gross Leak Test (GLT) by using air as the testing medium and a more precise leak testing using nitrogen as a medium in addition to 1% of Helium, which can be detected by a detection probe while checking a flange for leakage (if any).
• Provide the owner team with an accurate assessment of the commissioning and piping/equipment construction status (construction tracking) to ensure subsequent decisions are going to be well taken.
• Liaising with other engineering discipline leaders and vendors.
• Ensure owner signatures on all certificates for the tested systems as soon as these tests finishes.
• Ensure necessary health and safety precautions are undertaken so no accidents would happen.
Preparing the method statements and job hazard analysis.
• Preparing scheduling and Permit to support the work systems.
• Checking the construction pipe line with Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID).
• Material arrangements to execute the projects.
• Directly responsible for the day to day piping Installation and fabrication for process pipe rack, welding and Conduct Daily Tool Box Meetings.
• Monitor and update the progress of work schedule to make sure that all work is within schedule and no back log of report especially by Quality and Control (QC) and Non-Destructive Test (NDT).
• Supervising all piping modification work and recommend new route for piping system.
• Construction and installation heat exchangers foundation.
• Construction and installation pumps foundation.
• Monitoring the project safety of all personnel and equipment.
• Compile Test package, determine test limits and prepare blind list.
• Coordination with client representative and interfacing with subcontractor.
• Roto-dynamic pumps maintenance and diagnosing breakdown problems.
• Carrying out quality inspections on pumps alignment process.
• Directly involved in a complete plant shutdown as a maintenance engineer for heat exchangers, vessels, columns, drums, and tanks.
• Alignment and maintenance air fan coolers.
• Estimation of the required maintenance tools with the skilled personnel to maintain an efficient maintenance.
• Assessing and reporting safety hazards associated with the maintenance of equipment.
