• Lead and manage Purchasing, Inventory Control, Forecasting, Warehousing, Transportation and other areas
• Manage supplier contract negotiations.
• Ensuring proactive planning is in place taking into consideration the supply constraints.
• Maintain strong communication channels and information flow with internal and external contacts.
• Quality of Inventory: Aging, Excess and Non -moving inventory.
• Agency wise monthly opportunity loss values
• Monthly report time lines based on internal and external requirements.
• Forecast accuracy Improved forecasting / planning.
• Address tactical and strategic supply chain issues; oversee organization wide management of the strategic Sourcing, procurement, warehousing, and evaluation of services
• Formulation of SOPs and internal controls, Implementing FIFO (First in First Out) method
• Demand forecasting - Ordering Stocks, maintaining required Weeks of Supply.
• Heading the International Import logistics for all Food Products and Private labels for Bidfood KSA
• Registering New Products with SFDA Authorities
• Liaising with Clearing Agents: Coordinating with Clearing Agents for smooth arrival of shipments and ensuring the demurrages and detention are not incurred for any containers, thereby keeping a tab on cost control measures being implemented during the entire process
• Liaising with Shipping Companies and Freight Forwarders: Coordinating with Freight Forwarders and Shipping Liners to get the best Freight Rates for all Foreign Shipments.
• Lead the strategic development and supplier relationship management.
• Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and requests simultaneously, within an intense, deadline-driven environment.
• Creative thinker with strong analytical skills who can quickly develop innovative ideas across a wide variety of business units.
• Work with the Purchasing Manager to maintain and update database with correct min/max levels, reorder points and safety stock levels
• Monitors reports and places orders for materials as needed
• Quick response to requests for new items or items that are not currently stocked to keep customer satisfied
• Monitor open PO report, working with vendors to ensure on time delivery or expedite if needed
• Work with Distribution Manager on transportation for these items, ensuring we are using best value solution
• Perform trend analysis on certain parts, ensuring that changes to ordering levels are made when demand changes
• Support customer service team for any requests they may have for procurement, along with Distribution manager for MRO items (Non PO Items)
• Works in unison with other team members to achieve the organization’s strategic and financial goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager
• Follow up with custom clearance agents.
• Coordinate with warehouse for receiving the materials.
• Generating reports and monitoring data.
• Conduct research to resolve inventory problems.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks
• Ability to work accurately and independently
• Ability to learn new methods & systems required to adapt to changes in the work environment
• PC Proficiency to include Word, Excel and Outlook
• Possess overall comprehension of filing procedures.
• Accurate, organized and detail oriented with exceptional follow up skills
• Review exception reports and perform data entry to update or correct systems data
• The ability to communicate effectively on a high professional level
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, co-workers and stakeholders is vital
