Plan, execute, and monitor HSE procedures, ensuring, in accordance with the Corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Systems.
Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives.
Provides for motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided.
Implementing the Integrated Management System including “QHSE”.
Plan for internal and external audits fulfilling the certifications requirements, across all elements of production facility, ensures compliance with current QHSE legislations, approved codes of practice and company policies and procedures.
Focusing on adherence to service excellence and continuous improvement of the management system.
Work proactively with managers to establish and maintain safe systems of work, as well as safe environment for employees and customers in an integrated facilities management business, responsible for business operations in Steel production and service.
Ensure that there is a provision of competent QHSE advice to all managers and front line staff across EZZSTEEL on QHSE matters on both an emergency and routine basis, ensuring that a developed program is in place, and support is provided for the QHSE Advisor.

Key Responsibilities:
• Spearheading all OHS and FF tasks through 21 OHS and FF professional engineers, foremen and inspectors.
• Facilitating the implementation of complex safety programs, coordinating inspections, investigations, and occupational safety activities as per EHS plans.
• Providing employees with the training, information and supervision they need to do their jobs safely, including informing employees about any health or safety hazards in the workplace.
• Reviewing effectiveness of the integrated management system, to ensure that company achieves ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications.
• Establishing audit plans, objectives and scope of work in alignment with organizational goals; undertaking responsibility for the overall execution of projects through team management.
• Handling the EHS report to the top management and legal officers after monitoring Accidents rate, Frequency / Severity rates, and TDL’s...etc
• Liaising with several departments of the company to develop plans for executing required quality control measures for the Hazira site and required drills.
• Designing the plans for evacuation, front line, back up and cooling teams in case of emergencies. Conducting emergency drills, reviewing and updating the status of current control measures, status of signage system and the clearance of exit doors.
• Overseeing adherence to OHS instructions by conducting hourly patrolling, scrutinizing employee commitment towards OHS instructions, maintaining FF portable equipments and boxes, ensuring sub contractor discipline and adequacy of all OHS precautions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Established in-house training system for QHSE to familiarize employees regarding HSE policy/ procedures. Ensured safe working environment, conditions and equipment, coupled with quality team and department.
• Implemented and maintained company quality control procedures, quality assurance documentations, product specifications, work instructions for ISO 9001 certification etc.
• Maintained open communication channels between various departments such as Procurements, Production, Customer, Material control, technical consultants for product development, subcontractor improvement, process integration, standardization etc.
Key Responsibilities:
• Formulated polices and procedures in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, & OHSAS 18001. Executed and followed up internal audits, random product's audit, management meetings, Calibration plan and NCR’s.
• Superintended the procedures, work processes, manuals and policies required by the system in compliance with international standards, ascertained the system performance and scrutinized the related documents.
• Liaised with department heads and staff to ensure the effective implementation of the IMS in a daily basis.
• Monitored company objectives, department KPI's (Key Performance Indicators), health and safety issues related to organization development and maintained report with the reserves as well.
• Assess overall work plan to ensure work is assigned and completed on time in compliance with ISO procedures.
