• Responsible for reviewing monthly financials together with budgets and KPIs and making strategies for the variances. I was able to reduce the company’s administration cost and selling & distribution cost by 3%-5% by implementing cost reduction strategies in the year 2022.

• Responsible for promoting company’s products through social media platforms and creating potential business leads throughout them and able to increase the customer base of the company by 15% for the year 2022.
• Liaising with bankers, government authorities such as customs, Department of labor, Inland Revenue department and Registrar of Companies of Sri Lanka to ensure the business functions going forward with regulatory systems.
• Evaluating employees’ performance together with KPIs.
Aluvihare Farm (Pvt) Ltd is fully owned subsidiary MA’s Tropical Foods (Pvt) Ltd, one of renowned Food Manufacturing companies of Sri Lanka. AFPL has 4 business sections such as a Hotel named Paradise Forest Garden, an Organic Farm, Meat Processing Factory and Animal husbandry. I’m the in charge of Finance Department of the plant and responsible for Preparation of final accounts, Budgeting, preparation of cash flows, maintaining finance stability of the unit, keeping records on PPE and inventories, liaise with customers & suppliers, looking after operation activities etc..
ADK Company is one of leading companies in Maldives which is involving in FMCG and Pharmaceutical products. I’m responsible for maintaining AR/PR, bank reconciliations, Liaise with the stakeholders such as External Auditors, Debtors and Creditors, Maintaining stocks, conducting internal audits, doing costing & pricing, Analyzing sales, administrating day to day operations, making ad-hoc reports requested by Top Management of Company etc. The Accounting software used is Sage Pastel Evolution Explorer.
Al Mohsen Engineering is one of the best base material providers in the State of Qatar. More than 250 employees are working with the company. I was the person responsible for the entire finance team and, getting work done by the finance staff. The main responsibilities held by me were the preparation of monthly financial statements, maintaining AR/AP ledgers, Preparation of monthly Payroll, and liaising with the stakeholders such as Bankers, Debtors, Creditors etc. The Accounting Software uses Oracle Agile plus ERP.
Royal Fernwood Porcelain Limited (RFPL) is one of major high quality Porcelain Tableware producers for the export market. It covers a floor area of appx. 15, 000 sq. meters. With a monthly production capacity of over 700, 000 pieces, RFPL currently enjoys exporting its products to 35 countries. I was responsible for conducting Pre and Post Costing in relation to the Exports, GRN Valuation for Raw Material Imports, Posting Double Entries, Preparation of monthly payroll and distribution of salaries, Stock Reconciliation for month ends etc. The Accounting system used was Peachtree.
Orange Electric is one of the most promising Manufacturers, Importers and Suppliers of Electrical Products based in Colombo with wide range of Electrical Products comprises of Switches and Sockets, CFL Lamps, Low Voltage Switchgear Alpha, Cables, Electrical Accessories and so on. I had worked as an Accounts Trainee and reported to Finance Manager. I was responsible for Preparation of Cost Statement, Investment Appraisals and Capital Budgeting, Used functions in ERP system related to pricing, costing and management accounting, Gross Profit analysis for company’s products for the export market, Preparation of Invoices, Quotations and Purchase orders, Actual Costing for Raw Material Imports and Pre Costing for Finished Goods. The Accounting system used was ERP LN.
Susantha Senanayake & Company is an Audit Firm which is under supervision of Chartered Accountant. Also they are providing training facilities for the students who follow Chartered Accountancy. I had trained there as an Audit Trainee and reported to Chartered Accountant. I was responsible for Write up books of account subsidiary ledgers, writing the cash book, Preparation of the final accounts for sole proprietorships, assisting to the preparation of Private Limited Companies, Preparation of income Tax Returns of individuals, partnerships and private limited companies and Auditing inclusive of Internal Audits. The Accounting system used was Quick Book.
