Takes the lead on initiatives proposed by the MD and supports the GM in implementing new projects, improvements or process changes across the organization. Prepare budgeting reports and forecast revenues. Manage month-end and year-end closing and monitor the daily performance of the accounting department Cash flow management, credit control and advise business division heads on document credit transactions, issuance of guarantees and special Letter of credit both import and export. Train the team on any changes in accounting standards and updates Responsible for evaluating the current accounting ERP strengths and weaknesses, identifying improvements and leading the change across the organization
• Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable, receivables, fixed assets and perform bank reconciliation
• Risk management of foreign denominated payments by monitoring rates and analyze impact
• Reviewing Travel, Entertainment, capital expenditure Vs budgets and ensure they are within limits
• Preparation of reports in Hyperion financial management (H.F.M). Management of bank accounts and facilities with banks
• Preparation of cash flow reports and forecast analysis, conduct accrued expense reconciliation
• Cash management and ensuring sufficient daily balance in required accounts, and uploading payments onto online banking.
• Monitor capital expenditures, analyze, and determine budget variances and report the same to management.
• Recommend changes to existing accounting procedures and improvement of account activities to ensure compliance with governmental and organization procedures and policies.
• Approving credit notes and debit notes before they are posted on SAP
• Prepare monthly financial reports including consolidation and conduct variance analysis.
• Provide insight into forecast sales and conducting other ad hoc analysis to understand performance trends.
• Performing bank, AR/AP reconciliations and passing adjustment entries.
• Process all Payments to creditors and preparation of cash flow statement.
• Monitor availability of funds, following up on payments, communicating the same to the CFO.
• Application of non-recourse factoring facilities with multiple banks including commodity Murabaha providers, monitoring the fees applicable and pre-settling the invoicing discounting contracts on time to recover rebate, preparation of sales and factoring reports
• Performed in-depth due diligence on group subsidiaries, analyzed market trends, competitors and potential strategic partners using information obtained from multiple data sources.
• Prepared the financial health and growth potential reports for the investor.
• Prepared due diligence materials and comparison of investor and management model assumptions
• Drafted the Memorandum and management presentation for prospective buyer and managed a virtual data room
