Reporting to Senior Resident Engineer/Project Director
• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive Health and Safety Management Systems (HSMS) in accordance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Ensure HSMS aligns with recognized standards such as ISO 45001.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for all phases of oil and gas operations and infrastructure projects, including exploration, drilling, production, transportation, and refining.
• Ensure Compliance with Regulatory Standards
• Stay abreast of relevant health and safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to the oil and gas industry, including OSHA, EPA, QCS, ANSI.
• Manage Safety Training Programs:
• Develop and deliver in-house comprehensive safety training programs tailored to the specific hazards and risks associated with oil and gas operations and infrastructure projects
• Ensure all personnel receive appropriate training on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, confined space entry, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive Health and Safety Management Systems (HSMS) in accordance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Ensure HSMS aligns with recognized standards such as ISO 45001.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for all phases of oil and gas operations and infrastructure projects, including exploration, drilling, production, transportation, and refining.

• Manage Safety Training Programs:
• Develop and deliver in-house comprehensive safety training programs tailored to the specific hazards and risks associated with oil and gas operations and infrastructure projects
• Ensure all personnel receive appropriate training on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, confined space entry, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of oil and gas facilities, equipment, and worksites to identify hazards, assess compliance, and ensure adherence to safety standards
• Implement corrective actions and follow-up measures to address identified deficiencies.
• Foster a strong safety culture within the organization by promoting awareness, communication, and employee engagement in health and safety initiatives.
• Encourage reporting of near misses, incidents, and unsafe conditions, and facilitate lessons learned sessions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans (ERPs) for oil and gas operations and infrastructure projects, including procedures for evacuations, fire suppression, spill containment, and medical emergencies.
• Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency response plans and ensure readiness for potential incidents.
• Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and contributing factors.
• Develop recommendations to prevent recurrence and improve safety performance.
• Provide safety leadership and guidance to project teams, contractors, and subcontractors involved in oil and gas operations and infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning, design, and execution.
• Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor and measure safety performance, including leading and lagging indicators.
• Analyze safety data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance safety performance.
• Participate in the design review process to ensure that health and safety considerations are integrated into the design of oil and gas facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Develop and implement contractor safety management programs to ensure that contractors and subcontractors comply with health and safety requirements.
• Evaluate contractor safety performance and conduct prequalification assessments.
