Overall responsibility for streamling and consolidating cargo movement report statistics and port related information to selective customers in line with customer requirements, as per agreed internal guidelines for Africa, Middle East, Black Sea & Indian Subcon (AMB). Prepare periodic analysis of the agreed market segments, including but not limited to fleet/customer development, vessel deployment, trade/cargo flows & market conditions to top management by acting as a key member of the Global Trade Talk Desk. Review 3rd party data providers in collaboration with regional team for the assigned region. Consolidate monthly report on based on port, country, segment and account. Prepare weekly newsletter (Port News) by monitoring market Intelligence within the industry in terms of market development, new projects, competitive activity and distributing across the AMB region and global offices for social media publishing. Assist the Regional Sales Development managers in Commodity Feasibility Study by performing Commodity Data Analysis Generate consolidated leads for several ports in the region and propose how to approach each account by working in close with regional managers, country mangers and operational managers. Prepare operational efficiency reports to Area director
• Evaluate monthly based market intelligence in financial marketing discipline related to pricing and sales (Secondary and Primary) for the entire European market (Baltics, Balkans, Central and Western Europe, U.K) on a monthly basis.
• Assisting the Group Brand Manager Europe in firms Market Investment analysis on retail chains including analysis of main parameters such as investment levels vs product and category margin vs sales results (Cost Benefit Analysis / Cost Volume Profit Analysis/ Break Even Analysis/ Retail Audit) for all the European Markets.
• Analyzing variance vs budget/forecast YTD and P&L update with respect to cost centers on a monthly basis.
Preparation of yearly sales budgets for 20+ European markets with respect to transfer prices (in INR, USD)
• Prepare monthly Ad-hoc Sales Analysis report and market performance report for business review and top management review.
• Research and analyze sales data to identify relevant transportation costs for goods and prepare expense splits
• Project: Marketing Team Lead for SAP implementation for EU subsidiary, responsible for liaising with all departments and GHQ
My responsibilities are extended over Group's Europe operations
Responsible for setting up and maintaining client relationships in B2C and B2B industrial environment (Brand Portfolio: JCB, STILL, NIFTY-LIFT, SKYJACK, PUZZALONA CRUSHERS) for the entire Oman market. Established new accounts in warehousing, production, construction and ministry sectors by travelling across the sales territory.
Identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and key personal in a position to understand service as well sales requirements.
Make sure that each customer is personally visited, followed up over the phone and interacted promptly for assistance on a daily and need basis. Facilitate meeting between financiers and buyers which in turn generate new leads.
Able to work hand in hand with insurance and finance firms on a daily basis and hence have a good knowledge of these sectors.
Gain customer and end user acceptance by demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvement.
Took in-charge of division’s internal databases including preparing internal memos, sending monthly sales and forecasting reports to all the principles and top management. Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
Pay vendors, resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation, issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
In-charge of Pre-delivery Inspection (PDI) process which includes registration, insurance and financing equipment’s and liaising with Royal Oman Police.
Projects: Prepared a 5 year financial analysis of the firms Europe operations as part of the internship report with recommendations and comments. This was in turn used as empirical analysis for the final year master’s thesis about Indian FDI in Latvia. Master thesis done on Indian FDI in Latvia was first of its nature in Latvia, as a result was published in the university publication for future directions of use among Indian investors.
