My position revolved around coordinating the implementation of road safety programs in 8 beneficiary countries for the “EuroMed Transport: Support to the MENA Road Safety Program” which is funded by the European Union. I supported the identification of stakeholders for the implementation of local multi-sectorial pilot projects in each country and ensured the coordination between the different players towards achieving the results set forth at the start of the program. Furthermore, I prepared technical material for regional capacity building workshops for those stakeholders and key actors. The workshops concentrated on the management of results-focused and evidence-based programs. In addition, my role was to review the proposed pilot project action plan submitted by each country, advise decision-makers on its components, prepare the Monitoring and Evaluation framework required and follow up on its progress indicators.
