o Responsible for all project deliverables as well as maintaining the project
schedule
o Managing all technical aspects of a project, collaborating with the project
managers and design team members on design presentations, as well as
project concepting, development, and execution.
o preparing documents, updating client databases, taking phone calls, handling
correspondence, organizing meetings, estimating project costs, helping
source products, etc.
o Determine the client’s goals and requirements for the project
o Consider how the space will be used and how people will move through the
space
o Sketch preliminary design plans, including electrical and partition layouts
o Specify materials and furnishings, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes,
flooring, and plumbing fixtures
o Place orders for materials and oversee the installation of the design elements
o Oversee construction and coordinate with general building contractors to
implement the plans and specifications for the project
o Visit the site after the project is complete, to ensure that the client is satisfied
