Generally, ensure that any test administered by the British Council runs smoothly on the test day/s and that all assigned test day duties and standards are met. Specifically, confirm to supervisor that all necessary equipment, material for candidates, signage, branding and seating arrangements and plans are in place and ready to use as required. Secondly, supervise staff to ensure they carry out their respective duties, adhere to the Code of Conduct, and ensure that the test day material is handled securely, confidentially and is accounted for in line with British Council and Exam Board requirements at all times. Thirdly, ensure that relevant guidelines and policies are applied and followed in the areas of: Data Protection, Child Protection, Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and Diversity, and Anti-Fraud. Report any incidents, emergencies or breaches of security to the supervisor or appropriate British Council Examinations Services staff.

As an invigilator, I monitor IGCSE students during their exams, twice a year, as per Cambridge International Examinations' directives and rules.
US Embassy in Cairo, in association with Film Independent through the CineGouna Platform at the third edition of El-Gouna Film Festival 2019, held a workshop for Egyptian filmmakers taught by American filmmakers Marvin Lemus, Amman Abbasi and Egyptian director/ film maker Ayten Amin entitled "Short Film Script Writing & Production". I performed simultaneous interpretation throughout the whole 4-day workshop for the American and the Egyptian filmmakers.

US Embassy in Cairo, in association with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Egypt, held its first Sports Diplomacy program where it brought two American women soccer champions and coaches, Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak and Linda Hamilton, in addition to coach Jeff Agoos, to provide guidance and coaching to Egyptian women soccer coaches and team players in order to help promote the sport in Egypt and the region. I performed simultaneous interpretation for the three coaches during a series of workshops for the Egyptian coaches and players, and during the matches held at the end of each of the five days.

CineGouna Platform at the second edition of El-Gouna Film Festival 2018, held a
workshop for Egyptian filmmakers taught by American directors Lou Pepe and Kieth
Fulton entitled "Storytelling in Documentary and Fiction". I performed simultaneous
interpretation throughout the whole 3-day workshop for the American directors and the
Egyptian filmmakers.
Interpreter, US Consulate General Alexandria, Next Level Program: 4-12-2017 - 18-12-2017: - Next Level is an initiative of the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs that is administered by Meridian International Center and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. It creates two or three-week residencies that reaches undeserved communities and youth. Teams of four American hip-hop artist educators, in collaboration with local artists and organizations, facilitate workshops and lecture-demonstrations as well as formal and informal live performances. All activities are designed to promote the mutual sharing of knowledge, values, perspectives and respect between local populations and American artists. Next Level organized a three-week residency in Egypt, two weeks of which were in Alexandria and one week in Cairo, where it held hip-hop dancing, MC rapping, aerosol art (graffiti) and beat making workshops for Egyptian youth. I was one of the four interpreters assigned for each of the four American artists throughout their Egypt residency, both in Alexandria (Jesuit Cutural Center) and Cairo (Maq’ad al-Sultan Qaitbey), particularly the aerosol graffiti artist, Desi Mundo. My duties included interpreting the artist educators’ workshops for the Egyptian participants/attendees, monitoring workshop sessions with them, accompanying them throughout their stay to facilitate communication as a cultural ambassador, translating surveys, and taking part in the organization of the Next Level performance at Bibliotheca Alexandrina (14 December 2017).

Translated news reports, articles and essays from Arabic to English and reviewed translations by junior linguists.

Responsible for editing articles in English and Arabic, managing a team of editors and publishing the weekly online issues on the magazine website. In addition, I'm also responsible for managing the magazine FB page and finding contributors for the magazine in addition to the magazine writers.
Proofreading texts about HR-related topics and editing overall content, to the extent possible, for spelling, grammar, punctuation, style and format.
Translating different genres of texts, including but not limited to medical, pharmaceutical, legal, technical and general texts. Key clients include Library of Congress, New York City, Pfizer and Philips.
Taught English as a Second Language to grade 1 and grade 4 to non-English speaking students using "Macmillan English" syllabus, and assisted senior teachers in preparing supplementary material related to the course integrating the four learning skills; reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Taught "American Headway Course Book" throughout its levels to adults primarily, and young learners occasionally. Taught an IELTS preparation course to adult students preparing to take the IELTS exam.
