Organizing in-house training and mandatory training to the employees and maintain records.
Planning, Organizing and implementing Health, Safety and Environment management system in line with HSEMS of PDO/ Shell group and functionally reporting to HSE Manager.
Review of HSE plan and procedures of contractors, provide training to their employees and monitor their activities to ensure the compliance.  Inspection plans & schedules, checklists and formats and ensure the implementation at the execution process.
Conducting various HSE workshops in coordination with PDO to prepare and review Hazard and Effects Management programme (HEMP) in regular intervals.
Advising and assisting the line management personnel to carry out Risk assessment and Job safety Analysis of activities like confined space operations, vessel entry, critical lifting operation, hot work operations in hazardous area, hydro testing of pipe lines, radiography, operations in high H2S areas and other high and medium risk activities in well heads, oil gathering and pumping stations. Suggest control measures to reduce the risk, and assist to prepare method statements for all highrisk jobs.  Preparation of hazard registers for all activities in coordination with line staff and revision of same in frequent intervals.
Liaison with PDO HSE department on matters of HSE inspection, accident investigation and reporting, Preparation of weekly & monthly statistics, HSE reports, attending all client HSE meetings.  Planning and running of In-house Training.  Establish various HSE promotional and motivational activities like monthly HSE awards, Quiz competition etc.
Preparations of HSE audit plans, conducting audits and follow up of corrective actions, compiling of audit report and submit it to management for continual improvement.
Carrying out random inspections, coordinating the testing of lifting equipments and tackles and its documentation.
Preparation of Emergency plans and conducting regular mock drills at site and camps.
Installation and maintenance of fire detection and fighting system at sites and camps, setting up of first aid stations and other necessary safety activities.  Prepare Occupational health and hygiene training programmes with the help of company medical officer/male nurse and arrange training sessions.  Arrange and conduct various HSE forums like Weekly HSE meetings, Monthly Drivers Forum, Monthly Meeting , fortnightly contractors’ HSE review meeting etc.
Inspecting vehicles/ equipments/ plants at random, monitoring Road Safety management, assessing drivers’ competence and advising the management. Encourage employees to follow HSE procedures/standards.
Provide feedback to the management.
