- GSRC is a global project support profile, providing support all across globe.
- I have participated in 9 projects related to packet core network in Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa & South America.
- Expertise in Huawei EPC nodes deployment, upgrade & expansions.
→ Responsibilities:
• Configuration on Ericsson PS core nodes GGSN, SGSN, SAPC, SASN & DNS.
• Troubleshooting configuration issues on test cases for successful implementation on live scenario.
• Providing emergency and urgent configuration support to BO & GPOC.
• Update of core nodes to latest version of update available.
• Taking up the SACC planning of GGSN.
• Involvement in project work as part of other business activity.
→ Basic Tasks:
• New plan addition in SAPC.
• New URLs, routes etc. addition in SASN.
• BSC re-homing, GboIP cut-over & BSC deletion
• RNC link creation & RNC migration in SGSN.
• SACC-Layer 4 and 7 URL white listing in GGSN.
• Header enrichment in GGSN
• IMSI definition in SGSN.
• GboIP feature activation in SGSN.
• APN creation in GGSN
• APN entries in DNS (IPWORKS)
→ Appreciations:
• GboIP feature implementation in Sierra Leon SGSN and successfully migrated a BSC on same day.
• Resolved WAP header enrichment issue which was till unresolved.
• Successfully done Burkina Faso GGSN update with latest version that was first time implementation
On any Africa GGSN.
• Successfully tested & migrated all IMSI series from SASN to new CCN in a single activity.
Project 1:: Bharti PS core 2G/3G East Hub & 4G EPC, Kolkata:
→ Appreciations:
• MBC Project Live: Involvement in planning the configuration on FING, performing various test cases & final Implementation of solution. This included the use of FING features: Charging character based or PCRF based APN override.
• MPS solution live: Multi profile subscription live in which an end user can have up to three plans at a time. Taken care of test case design, testing those cases, identifying deviation & final implementation of same. Also indulged in various troubleshooting post implementation.
• Group counter plan implementation in which a volume bundle can be shared between a groups of subscribers.
• FING Node configuration restoration within 12 hours after power grid issue happened at Kolkata.
• CSFB project live for handling voice calls in LTE.
• IMEI PDP blocking live in which operator can block data calls for IMSI/IMEI series.
• Successfully implemented IMEI based APN override in Kolkata SGSN.
• Tethering plan implementation in which FING detects user agent and apply tethering policies.
→ Responsibilities:
• Involvement in this project includes configuration & troubleshooting of EPC & related nodes.
• O & M tasks related to Core network nodes, up gradation, Care collaboration, emergency supports
and customer collaboration to ensure 100% availability of network.
• Collaborating with NOC team for alarm resolution.
• Providing support for resolution of end subscriber access, QoS & speed issues.
• On-site support for proper installation & commissioning of GPRS & LTE nodes.
• Daily PM report analysis for determining performance of nodes & to improve KPI.
• Ensuring regular backup & health check to ensure proper running of nodes 24/7.
→ Basic Tasks:
• New HSS link creation in MME.
• IMSI definition in SGSN.
• IP-pool addition in PGW & GGSN.
• Configuration of Gx & Gy in PGW & GGSN.
• New APN & Session profile creation in GGSN.
• Addition of URLs for PCC rule functionality & simultaneous testing in PGW & GGSN.
• Gb link creation/deletion & troubleshooting.
• Taking MMTORI trace on SGSN for trouble analysis.
• New RA plan implementation & testing.
• Taking & analyzing traces on different interfaces for trouble analysis & resolution.
• DNS entries for LAC/RAC and APNs.
• CD up gradation in SGSN.
• New plan creation and testing in PCRF.
Project 2:: UNINOR Packet Core Network PAN India
→ Responsibilities & Tasks
• NOC and O&M support of PaCo nodes, emergency-care support.
• Configuration in PaCo nodes & troubleshooting.
• Daily & monthly report generation & subsequent analysis.
• SGSN activities such as unit switchover, NSEI configuration, PLMN creation etc.
• White listing of URLs.
• Trace capturing & analyzing.
• Pool addition & removal form FISN.
• Ticket raising to different vendors responsible for non NSN supported nodes.
