Duties & Responsibilities:
• Preparation & Follow-up of orders with over 16 suppliers of pharmaceuticals & medical devices located worldwide for on time delivery in accordance to delivery lead time, MOQ & market need.
• Preparation & executing purchasing forecasts on monthly & quarterly basis.
• Follow up for governmental & Private Awarded tenders to secure safe & efficient receipt of goods to end institutions.
• Arranging for shipments freight forwarding & Transportation from Origin up to our stores.
• Direct contact with Jordanian Customs in regards to shipments’ clearance, refunds & any claims.
• Maintain clean import record with Jordanian Authorities at different customs borders’ entry points.
• Preparation of importation documents prior to goods arrival including Special approvals from JFDA, Public Security.., Etc.
• Monitoring daily clearance activities including verification of customs declaration & payment shipments charges.
• Ensuring special handling for high valued medicines &/or Cold &/or sensitive shipments storage conditions upon arrival & prompt movement of shipments from airport up to our stores.
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
• Resolve any arising problems or complaints
• Supervise, coach and train Logistics department staff, In house Interns & other organization’s personnel.
• Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
• Direct contact with insurance companies to update insurance policy details.
• Monthly &/or on demand reports to different business sectors.
• Updating organization’s database & Oracle system for ongoing items changes in regards to prices, MOQs, Lead time, Origin, customs charges &, sales tax in accordance to government’s updated declarations & price agreement with suppliers.
