Project: Red Line North (Elevated and At Grade) - Doha Metro (seconded to Rizzani de Eccher)
• Contracts management for all MEP subcontractors, including VHTS, MEP and BACS - value over $50m
• Day to day management of subcontractors.
• Contract formation for all volumes including financial, general and particular conditions, specifications, forms of agreement, payment events, bonds and warranties.
• Responses to all incoming contractual correspondences.
• Liaison with Engineer, Consultant and internal senior MEP management.
• Monthly financial and planning reviews, reporting and liaison for all subcontractors.
Project: Mideco Trading & Contracting - Excavation of TSE Lines - NOH2 (Orbital Highway)
• Contractual assistance with regards to close out of all contracts with NOH2.
• Liaison with Client on Project Commercial Close-out.
• Compilation of Final Accounts for 4 sub-contracts to the satisfaction of both parties.
Project: Dukhan Housing Project - Phase IX with Al Jaber Trading & Contracting (JTC)
• Developed the updates for the Extension of Time (EoT) claim for JTC.
• Re-edited and updated all delay event narratives in conjunction with document review analysis.
• Analysed and reported on the proposed prolongation costs to be claimed with agreement from the Client.
Project: Mall of Qatar - Fire Recovery Programme and Programme to Complete with UCC/KCT

• Embedded with the Client’s Planning team to produce and then monitor the recovery programme to complete for all Front of House, Back of House, External Works, Facades and Entrance Areas following a major fire.
• Maintained daily contact with all Construction and Package Managers to produce compliant and realistic programmes and updates.

Project: Sidra Medical Research Centre

• Responsible for the Change Management processes and procedures for the contract.
• Catalogued and organised over 600 variations with wide ranging scopes from single item changes to whole medical department moves. Valued from less than $1000 to over $5m.
• Ensured all Client instructions are correctly issued, assess the merits of each claim (both upstream and downstream), gather the required documentation to support them.
• Assessment of internal cost and time implications including programme impacts.
• Reach agreements with the Client Representatives on the final costs and time impacts.
• Team leader to eight Quantity Surveyors and assistants.

Projects: Public Works Authority (Ashghal) and Lusail City ITS Master Planning & Design

• Providing contract administration, invoicing and business unit support.
• Delivered new payment calculation systems for projects including inflation, cost validation and pricing matters. Cleared new process with third party auditors and gained acceptance from the Client.
• Contractual support to senior management on change management and variations.
• Supported US HQ in understanding payment expectations and schedules.

Contracts Manager / Project Manager
I am the Contracts Manager for Traffic Tech (Gulf), the company operates in 4 countries in the GCC and I supervise all contracts in the company and advise the Senior Management on pre- & post contract terms and conditions and involve myself deeply with the negotiation process with the client. I check and re-write contractual clauses as appropriate leading to the final agreement to be signed by all parties. These are primarily based on FIDIC contracts but also bespoke contract styles for QP, Ashghal and Qatar Foundation. For post-contract activities I monitor the project procurement, logistics, cost controls and invoicing with the relevant departments on a weekly basis and report all issues to senior management at least weekly. My team of planning engineers produces and updates weekly the relevant project plans for the Project Managers and ensures that updates are continuous from the site engineers. I work closely with the Project Managers on compiling and assessing the monthly payment schedules and authorize each invoice out to the client. I hold weekly meetings with Clients on active projects covering all contractual aspects including variations and invoicing issues and authorize the weekly and monthly reports to our clients. I also liaise closely with the QA/QC Manager on ensuring compliance with our ISO9001 certification. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, my responsibilities include;
• Negotiation, monitoring and tracking of all contracts through the group, amounting to over $50 million. This includes contracts in Qatar, UAE, Bahrain and Jordan.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with clients on all contractual matters
• Development of process and the Identification, analysis and presentation of variations to all contracts
• Development and implementation of processes to improve invoicing consistency
• Development and implementation of a stock control system for group warehouses
• Improvements in the processes governing procurement and purchasing, including oversight of the procurement department
• Maintaining quality controls over all contractual bonds and bank guarantees
• Development of databases to assist business development department of existing installations to assist in future pricing and tendering

Ras Laffan Port Expansion Project (RLPEP), Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar. RLPEP is currently the largest port development project in the G.C.C. worth over $1.8 billion. Olive Group has developed, implemented and integrated the state-of-the-art $130 million security systems for the two new Port Entry Gates and the three main causeways.
As Contracts Manager, my responsibilities included;
• Identification, Negotiation, Development and Administration of all project sub-contracts, worth in excess of $55 million.
• Procurement and delivery of all project equipment, including logistics and customs / ministry clearances. Ensuring value for money and reliable supply lines by negotiating Supply Chain Agreements.
• Administration of the Contractual relationship with the Client and Employer. First point of contact to the Client on all Contractual matters
• Supporting the Project Director, the rest of the on-site Project Team and the Project Board in all Contractual matters pertaining to the delivery of the project.
• Authoring and developing responses to all Contractual correspondence to and from both the client and all sub-contractors.
• Developing the necessary processes and procedures to enable the project and Olive Group to better understand the clients needs, how to meet and exceed them.
• Claims and Change Management negotiation and valuation with Client and Subcontractors
• Commercial Bid Evaluation for potential new $30m variation utilizing 5no. separate bidders
• Compilation of weekly and monthly reports to both the Client and in house Project Board including Procurement, Contracts administration and Invoicing. Including monthly presentations to the Project Board on all pertinent contractual matters

Mouchel is a UK based consultancy focusing mainly on the development and implementation of technologies to be used on the UK motorways and highways. Working in the Transport Operations and Technologies division, I was responsible for the Contract administration of a $30 million project on the M4 motorway and a new $10 million Digital Enforcement System on London’s M25 for the UK Highways Agency. My responsibilities included;
• Close liaison with the on site Contractor on all matters pertaining to procurement, logistics, installation, variations and commissioning
• Compensation Events negotiation and resolution (under NEC3) with all major contractors. Total value >$5m
• Contract management and administration with the Client and Contractor (based on NEC3 contracts), including reporting, invoicing and presentations
• Contract Liaison Officer between parent company and J.V. Maintenance Company. Developed work stream packages to be undertaken by both parties. Reported on works undertaken by each party to all Client facing management
• Negotiation and resolution of interface between technology enforcement systems and the legal requirements
• Being the Site Team Manager for the M4 Project and Workstream Leader for the M25 project.
• Development of site based staff through training and identification of natural and potential talents.
• In charge of planning and executing a major office move for my department. Involved in negotiations with building owners for space and rental agreements
• Nominated department representative for carrying out personnel interviews for new positions, both for experienced candidates and Graduate positions, developing job descriptions and liaising with new employees from contract offer to start date and beyond

Working on the planning, implementation and running of the London Congestion Charging System (LCCS) for Transport for London (TfL). I was originally employed as the Planning Manager and developed into one of the Projects / Contracts Managers with responsibilities for the efficiency of the camera system (client facing) and the contract administration of the telecommunication suppliers. I also worked on a project to find suitable mobile telephony sites for all UK operators by utilizing land held by a major UK power generation company. My responsibilities included;
• Contract monitoring / administration of subcontractors with respect to maintenance and telecoms supplies.
• Development of KPI and SLA reporting for both LCCS telecommunication suppliers contracts.
• Development of fault reporting procedures with LCCS in house engineers. Developed reporting processes for management board. Improved efficiency of response by 35% in 6 months
• Developed planning metrics for the LCCS Implementation Team to allow close monitoring of the Project work flows.
• Helped to develop statistical analysis tools that helped enhance the accuracy and read rate of the LCCS camera system for the engineering teams. Camera capture rates improved by 15% or approx 15, 000 extra reads a day.
• Conducted negotiations and agreements with land owner (EDF Energy) to allow mobile telephony installations to be constructed
• Identified and qualitatively evaluated over 1000 possible sites for construction. Worked with the land owner to establish suitability for build, what legal covenants were relevant and developed site records to assist in planning applications

MKI were a Construction consultant focusing on the fast emerging 3G mobile phone market in the UK. Working with the London and South East team, I was responsible for the co-ordination of the designs for over 300 potential and executable mobile telephony sites.
• Developed procedures to better coordinate the input from outside consultants and internal design teams into the Construction teams.
• Was involved with contractual negotiations on employing 2no. outside design agencies.
• Responsible for the management of the design process and delivery of designs from both in-house and outside design agencies
• Increased throughput of designs by approximately 75% in less than 1 year.
• Improved turnaround time for a site design from 3 weeks to 2 weeks. This included site surveys, client approvals, customer approvals and professional design checks (structural and electronic)
• Successfully brought over 100 initial land enquiries through to the start of construction phase within 1 year.

Horizon Design Consultants was a start-up company with me and a partner. Our goal was to delivery a quality design and records product for the UK telecommunication market. It was born out of my previous employer (Convergence) losing it’s major customer due to management disputes. The customer came to us personally and asked if we could do the job ourselves. Obviously we thought we could, and do it better than before.
• Initial partner in the company.
• Despite start up costs we became cash-positive inside 6 weeks
• Within 1 month we had negotiated 2no. major contracts to deliver design and records services
• Working from home we delivered the clients first batch of service records within 2 weeks of instruction
• Grew the company to a total of 12 employees within 24 months, including survey teams and CAD operators. Managing all of these employees who all worked remotely from me
• Developed contacts with other major telecoms providers to offer services, picking up small to medium value orders ($10-25, 000 each).
• Turnover for year 1 was over $200, 000 with 4 employees at that point
• Turnover for year 2 was over $350, 000 with 12 employees

Convergence was a start-up company which evolved out of Eurobell’s desire to split the company’s obligations to deliver Community Access Television (CATV) to various areas in the southern UK. Working as the Senior Design Engineer and reporting to the Design Manager, I was responsible for;
• Survey, design and development of CATV systems for areas under control
• Engineering evaluation of areas for build costs
• Development of GIS solution for design, installation and maintenance procedures
• Input of all design requirements into GIS and CAD databases
• Supervision of work gangs as required

The day after leaving University, I started working for Eurobell as a GIS Design Engineer on their new CATV system for the Crawley and Gatwick Airport franchise. This company was in its infancy and had been active for around 1 year when I joined. I was employed to bring my GIS skills into the new company design department’s GIS software.
