Maintain security by following procedures and controlling access (monitor logbooks, is-sue visitor badges).
Update appointment calendars and schedule meetings/appointments. Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filling, photocopying, collating, faxing, entering data in the system, making invoices, claiming insurances etc.
Work with patient to make them comfortable in the dental chair and to prepare them for treatment and procedures.
Sterilize dental instruments. Prepare the work area for patient treatment by setting out instruments and materials.
Help dentists by handling then instruments during procedures. Keep patient’s mouth dry by using suction hoses or other equipment.
Instruct patient in proper dental hygiene. Process OPG X-rays.
Keep records of dental treatments. Schedule patient appointments.
Work with patient on billing and payment.
Arranging instruments, materials and medication and hand them to the dentist when needed.
