NEOM is a new regional development located in a 26, 500 square kilometers area in the Tabuk Province of Northwestern Saudi Arabia. The project has an estimated budget of $500 billion. AECOM provides project management consultancy (PMC) services and its scope includes project management, contract administration, technical and environmental support services, and site supervision over the entire design and construction phases of the project.

My role includes managing geotechnical engineering activities related to the project, ensuring compliance with regulations and NEOM standards, and providing technical support to the PTS team and working with multi-disciplines including geotechnical, structural, surveying and inspectors.

Managing geotechnical contractors as PMC role and managing relationships with stakeholders including coordination with vendors, project delivery teams (Health & safety representatives, environmental department, commercial teams, procurement, NEOM representatives) and permitting authorities.

Resolving geotechnical issues including issues on site like resolving accessibility constraints through leading meetings with Project Delivery Team (PDT) and vendors to minimize delays on site. Identifying issues in quality of reports.

Reviewing of geotechnical Scope of Works (SOWs), reviewing of geotechnical reports, evaluation of the qualifications of the geotechnical investigation contractors, ensuring the management and completion of Geotechnical Investigation (GI) projects as well as the review and management of geotechnical design reviews for a variety of projects across NEOM.

In addition, the role has commercial responsibilities which includes preparing of geotechnical Service Orders, managing budgets and all aspects of tendering and bidding process for the geotechnical investigations (GIs).

Jeddah Stormwater & Masterplan (JSWM) is a project to improve the storm water systems across the city of Jeddah. The purpose of the project is to complete a further analysis of the stormwater drainage issues in Jeddah and to identify the design options which will mitigate potential flooding within the city of Jeddah. The proposed structures in the project include stormwater network related structures including channels, culverts, outfalls, tunnels, PRDs, catch basins, shafts and pump stations. My responsibilities and duties in the project are as follow:

• Preparing the geotechnical scope of works based on the design requirements of the project;
• Evaluation of the qualifications of the geotechnical investigation contractors;
• Preparing Task Orders for site investigations using the appointed Term Geotechnical Investigation Contractor;
• Ensures the Geotechnical Contractor has obtained all third-party approvals and permits prior to the commencement of the investigations;
• Planning and supervising the geotechnical investigations;
• Provides supervision and monitoring of the geotechnical contractor field activities, in-situ and laboratory testing;
• Manages the delivery of Geotechnical Interpretive Reports (GIRs), as prepared by the geotechnical contractor, including review of deliverables against the Task Order and compliance of field and laboratory test data against the Contract, prevailing Codes and Standards.
• Responsible for the review of geotechnical submissions;
• Provides geotechnical information and input for the design;
• Interpretation and verification of ground investigation data and development of geotechnical design parameters;
• Undertaking desk studies, analyzing the soil parameters and providing input for the design team;
• Production of geotechnical design reports;
• Review and approve any geotechnical design developed by third part;
• Coordinates with the Civil and structural engineering teams to ensure design recommendations in the (GIRs) are incorporated into the technical submissions.

• Oversee the establishment and implementation of department policies, goals, objectives and procedures;
• Ensure that the new operation plans, policies, procedures, and transition/migration plans for the Department are consistent with the overall goals and objectives of ACES;
• Develop departmental business plans that are in line with ACES strategies and objectives;
• Monitor costs and resources in day-to-day activities;
• Hold responsibility for department staffing and budgeting projections;
• Follow up the department invoices and help in the collection;
• Oversee all technical matters, field testing, operations and technical procedures related to geotechnical investigation;
• Assist branch manager in contract review related to site investigation works;
• Process customer’s orders and ensure all customers’ requirements are carried out in accordance to contractual agreements and as per standard test method and specifications;
• Respond to customers inquiries and provides professional advice in the fields of my operation;
• Review and approve geotechnical reports;
• Investigate existing and potential non-conformities in the areas of activities, devise and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct department cost studies, analyzes data and write monthly reports;
• Follow-up on site investigation projects by carrying out site visits, attend meetings and review documentation;
• Follow-up implementation of safety regulations and protection measures;
• Participate in projects pricing for proposed technical and financial offers.

• Providing support to the projects and tendering departments in the field of geotechnical engineering;
• Follow all geotechnical issues related to tender and project works;
• Provide subsurface modelling for tendering purposes;
• Review of tender specifications for reclamation, dredging, ground improvement and marine structures;
• Provide geotechnical designs, calculations and geotechnical supervision to internal and external projects;
• Assist in developing an interactive soil database;
• Develop and set-up design calculation tools for different geotechnical tasks (slope stability, settlement, liquefaction, bearing capacity, sheet pile stability);
• Develop a geotechnical guidelines for dredging, reclamation and ground improvement;
• Assist in establishing a geotechnical investigation set-up for NMDC.

• The project consists of three residential buildings in Amman city at cost estimated of US$ 9 millions;
• Following up all process of design and permits;
• Review all the drawings and documents related to the project;
• Organize the resources required for the project in an appropriate manner to achieve the project objectives in accordance with the agreed specifications, plans and budget;
• Monitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained;
• Provide management with regular reports to identify the current status, outlook, risks, issues and concerns in the areas of cost expenditure, progress and quality;
• Accounting, costing and billing.

• Worked as an offshore Senior infrastructure Engineer for ADNOC’s (Oil & Gas) dredging/reclamation and soil improvement (Marine) project under PMC contract;
• The project name is ARTIFICIAL ISLANDS AT SATAH AL RAZBOOT (AED 1.5 Billions);
• The project consists of reclaiming two 500m x 500m artificial islands at Satah Al-Razboot (SARB) offshore oil field. The scope comprises design and model testing, dredging and reclamation, deep compaction of the reclaimed site, construction of the perimeter shore protection and construction of mini harbours and related infrastructure;
• Supervision of offshore geotechnical investigations and in-situ testing from Self Elevated Platform (SEP);
• Supervision and monitoring of dredging/reclamation activities including material suitability for reclamation and quality control of the reclaimed material;
• Implementation and quality control of ground improvement works using Vibro Compaction;
• Reviewing of foundation design and geotechnical testing reports;
• Supervision of land and marine survey;
