Key responsibilities
• Oversee and manage the Irrigation Machines plants operations in both manufacturing facilities in Saudi and China to ensure plans implementation, production progress, quality, and supply chain.
• Had 4 direct reporting managers, and over 200 employees.
• Responsible for quarterly and annual budget reviews and justifications for both operations. Department budgets are in excess of $10 million annually.
• Achieved conformance of shipping for more than 95% for the past three years leading to greater percentage of on time shipping to customers.
• In coordination with Engineering and Development team; managed to launch major new products on time while meeting cost and quality targets.
• Reduced customer complaints to more than 88% in three years, by restructuring the quality department, implementing new measures in supply chain and manufacturing.
• Monitor warehouse activities, work order cycles, controlled purchasing, and inventory levels and take effective corrective actions as required to ensure the fulfilment of Irrigation manufacturing operations on a global scale.
• Reducing Inventory levels from $30 million in 2010 to $15 million in two years; and achieved the levels of $11.5 millions in the year 2016.
• Managing AIC - China operations; raising it up to the level of Saudi Operations in terms of quality and productivity; qualifying them to ship to all AIC international markets.
• Negotiating with suppliers on global basis; implementing JIT deliveries as much as possible to both operations and other international warehouses.

Key responsibilities
• Directing operational activities in manufacturing plant leading to improved visibility of inventory, enhanced profitability and business process effectiveness whilst ensuring optimal/uninterrupted operations.
• Duly coordinating with Sales departments in MENA region and overseas sales affiliates to insure efficient order processing/executions and optimum sales forecasting reflected in manufacturing planning, supply chain management and company’s inventory levels.
• Achieving the shipping efficiency (meeting 100% shipping on time targets) for the two biggest projects in the company’s history (in one year (2012)); and contributing in increasing GP for the two projects for more than 30% by selecting the right material from reliable international suppliers.
• Member in company’s Global Supply Chain Source Board; in coordination with China and US Operations, to manage Inventories in different operations for optimum usage of Inventories on global levels and better leverage with suppliers, resulting in yearly purchasing reduction of around %1 million USD.
• Control operations within the manufacturing plants to achieve highest levels of efficiencies whilst minimizing waste and ensuring customer expectations for quality and delivery are met on time and in full.

Inducted as Production Engineer, charted an outstanding growth curve to merit promotion as Manufacturing Manager; reported to the Operations Manager.


Highlight:
• Spearheaded manufacturing activities of 4 factories, leading a team of 4 production managers, 4 supervisors and 200 shop floor employees to promote smooth running of production line.

• Scheduling and delegating work assignments to ensure production of the highest quality product at lowest possible price, meeting company performance standards and customer delivery needs.
• Ascertaining effective plant operational performance and compliance with permissible safety standards and requisite regulations.
• Developing and instituting plans for efficient use of materials, machines and personnel for fostering vertical organizational growth. Reviewing production costs/quality, modifying production and inventory control programs for profitable plant operation.
• Preparing production, HR and labor budgets. Analyzing/ reporting on plant-wide production statistics.

• Instituting safety policies/procedures, supporting site-wide safety goals by ensuring periodical safety audits and that projects meet safety objectives.

Highlight:
• Pioneered production activities in the plant (out of the total 4 plants of the company), generating around 70% of total company revenues.

Key Responsibilities as Production Manager:
• Provided overall management of the ongoing production operations including inventory control, scheduling, documentation, equipment maintenance, and quality control/inspection to ensure production meets output/ quality goals within allocated budget.
• Devised methods to utilize plant’s personnel/ capital resources to best meet production goals. Determined necessity of new machines, overtime/ extra shifts, production sequencing, monitored production run to confirm it stays on schedule, correct any problems that may arise.
• Formulated lean production techniques to provide more flexibility in changing production levels, thus minimizing inventory levels enabling quick reaction to changing customer demands.
• Monitored product standards and implemented quality control programs to safeguard quality level of finished goods.
• Worked in conjunction with other departments - finance, sales, procurement and logistics, to develop budget and spending plans to meet production schedules effectively without causing slowdowns.
• Evaluated supplier bids, to identify suppliers offering quality materials at budgeted rates.
• Led department staff, by facilitating training on core manufacturing competencies, supported site-wide safety goals by ensuring plant equipment modifications and other projects meet safety objectives.

• Played an active role in the production process of the Irrigation systems manufacturing plant, implementing Lean Program for the manufacturing process to streamline and enhance manufacturing operations/ processes and enable the organization to be a best-in-class manufacturer.

• Worked closely with the Manufacturing team and Production Manager in executing new projects and acquisition of machine tools and equipment for the same.
• Managed production operations to ensure attainment of operational goals, objectives and initiatives.
