• Use expert knowledge of Food Hygiene & Health rules and regulations to evaluate compliance, measure hazard and risk and recommend corrective action, if required.
• Implement Food Safety Standards and procedures within the jurisdiction to ensure compliance with local and international legislation pertaining to Food & Hygiene standards.
• Responsible for routine inspection of food premises like Restaurant, Catering, Coffee shops, Hotels, Supermarkets, Grocery and Food manufacturing companies.
• Review drawings for new facilities/fit outs/modification of Food & Health establishments to ensure food, hygiene standards & best health conditions set by EHS have been followed.
• Conduct joint Inspection along with authorities like Dubai Municipality for the issuance of label approval, various food permits, fitness Certificates etc.
• Coordinate destruction of unfit and confiscated food items in coordination with representatives from DM, Customs, and Public Health Services Departments.
• Coordinate with food safety consultancies for the HACCP audits to facilitate the issuance of HACCP/ISO Certificates.
• Conduct food safety PIC trainings for clients and issuance of PIC certificates.
• Attend to emergency situations related to food poisoning, customer complaints and outbreak of infectious diseases and investigation about food poisoning/outbreaks.
• Investigate complaints such as illegal labeling, adulterated food, cases of food poisoning, customer complaints etc. to determine root causes and advise on methods for prevention of recurrence. In the event of violations, initiate corrective action or issuance of penalties
• Review and issuance of third party approval certificates for food safety Consultancies and training companies.
• Conduct food safety campaigns and awareness programs.
• All other duties assigned by department.

• Complete all prerequisite programs needed as the foundation of the HACCP plan and implement fully operational HACCP based Food Safety Management System.
• Build people support from different departments and to ensure that a positive hygiene culture is driven, followed and complied with for the success of maintaining the HACCP system.

• Prepare monthly sampling schedule, statistical reports and give recommendations for improvement.
• Host HACCP team meeting; attend Culinary and F&B team briefings.
