• Responsible for the organization and direction of construction engineering personnel and activities relating to construction engineering, subcontracts, and engineering liaison to the design functional group. Interprets design drawings and specifications.
• Coordinating with the team on site to ensure that contractual obligations are met.
• Participate in bi-weekly progress and technical meetings on performance matters.
• Responsible for prepare material request, submittals, technical queries, Field change documents and method statement.
• Reviews and closely monitors project schedule and costs.
• Preparing the work notification, Request for information, Confirmation of verbal information etc.
• Coordinating with sub-contractor for their shop drawing, material approval submission etc.
• Liaising with local authority such as DEWA, TRAKHEES, Du, DM, RTA, NAMI to receive the required NOC’s and shop drawing approval for the project and to ensure compliance with local construction regulations.
• Coordinates engineering, procurement, construction activities deliverables for all sub-projects to ensure inter alignment and to overall project objectives
• Create and maintain a multi-disciplinary projects interface register to ensure alignment of all technical interfaces between projects.
• Monitors contractors work to ensure adherence to contract scopes of work
• Coordinates with task force groups to ensure on-time completion of work activities and the implementation of project control procedures.
• Assists contractor’s teams to produce engineering/construction documents that meet the project requirements within the allocated schedule and budgets
• Reviews and closely monitors project schedule and costs.
• Reviews and provides input to Technical Queries, Concession Requests and Variation Requests
• Coordinates Operations and Maintenance inputs into project phases
• Conducts engineering evaluation and compiles engineering data/statistics to prepare monthly and annual reports for on-going projects.
• Verifies that engineering tasks are strictly carried out in compliance with the contract requirements, and in particular with the company’s safety procedures, recognised engineering practices, project specifications and standards.
• Assists with the management of projects to ensure safety, reliability, environmental and human impacts are mitigated while meeting project goals including but not limited to schedule, safety, and overall quality
• Responsible for the completion of the aforementioned work scope consistent with the project objectives.
• Ensures smooth transitions between project stages (engineering and procurement to construction to completion)
• Development of daily / monthly progress reports and reporting status to Project Manager/Consultant.
• Facilitate communication between sub-contractors and Site engineering on technical matters.
• Study and assess drawings, plans, specifications and other documents relating to construction.
• Liaising with local authority such as DEWA, Etisalat, Du, DM, RTA and DUSUP to receive the required NOCs for the project and to ensure compliance with local construction regulations.
• Determine budget, project schedules and scope of work and deploy appropriate staff.
• Direct, lead and support other engineering and skilled personnel in managing machinery and executing multiple tasks and projects.
• Provide technical expertise on all engineering subject matter pertaining to civil, structural and architectural engineering
• Ensure civil, structural and architectural design and engineering compliance with relevant codes, standards and Company standards
• Coordinate, monitor and handle civil, structural and architectural engineering as per project expectation and complete the same within the time frame
• Perform regular and timely technical reviews of civil engineering deliverables developed by engineering consultant, ensuring design quality in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices
• Participate in teams for equipment sizing / equipment selection considering optimization and standardization
• Ensure that the facilities are provided in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines with respect to environment and health aspects.
• Handing over of service to respective Authorities.
supervision for construction of Bridge and roads.
•Preparation of technical sanction paper works, bills and minimum land survey scopes.
•Reporting to Assistant Project Manager on daily basis and updating construction activities and forecast.
•Experience in handling steel structure drawings & execution for roof truss works
•Handling Construction Activities along with the team to meet the allotted schedule.
