Worked on Lower Churchill Project for five years and completed 2000 Km overhead transmission lines including 350 HVdc line, 315 KV HVac line and 132 KV lines.
Perform following task. Loads & clearance on all towers were calculated by using PLS- CADD/Lite and tower models were prepared using LS- TOWER. All pole models were prepared using PLS-POLE.

☼ Attended the horizontal proto assembly of tower type A in Turkey ( Adana -works of SARA inc ) for 315 HVac lower Churchill project, verified geometry of structure, connections and hard ware fitting arrangement as per approved drawing. Attended testing of steel mechanical properties, bolt test, inspected the raw material, fabricated material zinc coating etc.


☼ Handled successfully all bid queries for 350 KV HVdc line related to tower design and fabrication.


☼ Reviewed the design criteria detailed loadings for all tower types A1, B, 1, C1, E1, D1, A2, B2, C2, D2, A3 & A4 for 350 HVdc line for lower Churchill project , provide comments and correction.

☼ Completed the review of detailed electrical clearance drawing s and for tower type A, 1, A2, A3, A4 , B1, B2 C1, C2 D1, D2 & E1 for 350 HVdc line lowers Churchill project , provided the valuable comments based on manual calculation and experience and contributed substantial improvement.

them to correct engineering assembly, provided site solution and material on site rectifications, assessing material shortage, coordinated resupply of shortages to meet the schedule.

To prepare the sag tension calculation and loading as per the project technical specification.

☼ Design of Towers ( Both vertical & Horizontal Configuration ) from 33 KV to 800 KV Manually as well as with the help of In House Developed Software based on six degree of freedom Stiffness Matrix in Fortran Language.

☼ Special Structures of Railway crossing, River crossing, gantries and substation structures.

☼ Arranging the meetings with consultants for approval of the design calculations.

☼ Involvement and guiding the connection detailer to prepare the detailed drawings.

☼ Review the detailed drawings with respect to the design and specification.

☼ Arranging the meetings with consultants for approval of the detailed drawings.

☼ Checking the assembled tower in line with approved design and drawing.

☼ Preparation of load cases and rigging chart for full load tower proto testing.

☼ Attending the full load testing, in case of failure reviewing the design and reinforcing the structure and re testing to pass the full load test.

☼ Re-leasing the tower for fabrication and coordination with coordination project and production deptt.

☼ Prepare the sag template and stringing chart.

Foundation

☼ Prepare the soil parameters from specification and prepare the foundation loads .

☼ Choose the economical foundation type and design the detailed design of foundation.

☼ Prepare the foundation construction and got it approved by consultant.

☼ Bhira-Dharavi 220KV D/C& M/C Line, Work of TATA at Bombay. In this project we ( group of three engineers ) designed many D/C towers and multi circuit towers and their foundations.
