CURRENT PROJECT:
Business Process Transformation - Finance & Accounting Outsourcing Department
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform Gap Analysis through comparing industry best practices with the current state
• Devise and recommend a comprehensive solution that includes:
o Processes and procedures manuals
o Implementation plan
o Training & development strategy
o Change Management
• Assist in the establishment of Monitoring & Control Department
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preparing all annual and monthly reports relating to fixed assets, inventories & grants.
• Assisting in annual budget preparation in relevant areas.
• Coordinating and performing activities related to periodic physical inventory counting and making recommendation to management for the resolution of observations.
• Preparing and maintaining reporting structure for the Mobile Money Project (A project of AWCC to provide easy flow of funds within Afghanistan by providing banking platform to individuals not having ready access to banks through telecom infrastructure).
• Preparing & delivering the general ledgers and monthly schedules relating to grants (Income, Receivables & Deferred Income) from:
o Financial Access for Investing in the Development of Afghanistan (USAID)
o Afghan Telecom Regulatory Authority relating to provision of telecom services in rural areas.
ACHIEVEMENTS
• Representative of finance for the implementation of Mobile Money project, a project launched by AWCC to provide easy flow of funds within Afghanistan through mobile banking.
• Automation of fixed assets module in Sage Accpac (Including capital work in progress, fixed assets and depreciation) being managed manually in past and ensure its continuous development by coordinating with Triumph India Software Services a Sage Accpac provider.
Carrying out the following on behalf of KPMG Chartered Accountants to Organizations of various genre including manufacturing concerns, financial institutions, trading/ service organizations, NGOs:
- Performing Audit of Annual and Quarterly Financial Statements of KPMG clients for presentation in Board of Directors and Annual General Meeting of shareholders. Involving the following:
- Planning and execution of Audit as per the requirements of International Standards of Auditing (ISAs) and the KPMG Audit Manual (KAM)
- Ensuring the compliance of financial statements with IFRSs and local standards.
- Checking the effectiveness of internal controls and making recommendations for improvement through Management Letters.
- Ensuring the compliance with local taxation and company laws and the industry specific regulations.
- Maintaining the documentation of audit and issuing auditors' report to the company after making an audit opinion.
- Checking the compliance with Financial policies and Standard Operating Procedures of the companies and making recommendations.
- Ensuring that the applicable Code of Corporate Governance is being implemented.
- Providing Taxation, Accounting and other consultancy services to the KPMG clients including Due Diligences, Fixed Assets and Internal Auditing.
