A wide-ranging business support role, reporting to the General Manager in the management of administration, Oil & Gas Plant Shut down Project Management, Procurement and logistics (leadership of a team of 19) ensuring all activities are executed in line with organisational objectives
• A diverse administration & Project Management role overseeing Procurement, sales administration and shipping operations in the Kuwait, Qatar and Africa sites
• Ability to interface effectively with CP and business people across a wide variety of backgrounds and levels, both at the plant and the regional level
• Strong experience in turnaround management including work scope development, preparation of contract document, execution monitoring, analyzing and reporting
• Manages all supply chain activities for Shut Down Projects, engaging with international oil and gas companies to facilitate the import / export of steel goods ensuring compliance with all customs regulations
• Analyses systems and processes across the business to improve efficiency. This included project managing the implementation of a HSE management system across both Procurement and sales administration
• Provides vital administration, logistics and Procurement support to major international oil and gas projects across the region mainly for shut down projects of (Qatar Gas, Qatar Petroleum, Ras Gas, QCHEM, QAPCO)
• Utilises previous business analysis expertise to execute analytical activities. These include Vendor Analysis, situational analysis, analysis and the assessment of service delivery and supplier performance, identifying system and process inefficiencies and leading improvement projects, Collates and presents financial and commercial data to management teams
• Negotiates Business terms and conditions of Contracts with Vendor in communication with Legal department and management, Manages supplier relationships leading performance analysis and ensuring contractual adherence
• Conducts customers satisfaction surveys to measure the performance of internal organisational processes and supplier performance and processes
• Key player in the Procurement process, facilitating the distribution of goods to major international oil and gas organisations and managing the warehouse operation in line with Call of Agreement with Qatar Gas Shut Down & Maintenance projects
• Employs a strong quality control ethos, reviewing quality issues on orders and working with suppliers to resolve issues in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 1400 and OHSAS 18001
• Financially astute with responsibility for budget preparation / management, payroll, scheduling expenditure, cost monitoring and variance analysis
• Utilised an extensive knowledge of ERP and Sage X3
