Key Responsibilities and Achievements:
Overseeing the resolution of electrical design discrepancies through all areas of the project through interfacing with design department and hence facilitating timeous information for construction works.
Manage MEP subcontractor for the complete electrical system execution in-line with the overall project scheduled program.
Review of all project documentation including MV network 11 kV Short circuit, & Protection studies, cable selection, Lux level calculations, access routes etc.
Review of Material submittal, Layout shop drawings, SLD’s, Interface schedules, FAT, SAT, Site Clarification request, Circuit Breaker and Cable sizing calculations, etc.
Light Fittings and Lighting control system including material submittal, typical installation detail, sample mockup arrangement of each type of light fitting, procurement follow up with the sub-contractor and also the complete coordination with other contractor related to lighting issues.
Fully conversant with Emergency Central Battery system and UPS system.
Review and manage of electrical Interfaces with other systems like PMU, SCADA, ECBS, UPS, ELCS & BMS.
Ensure the satisfactory installation, completion, testing and commissioning of Electrical & other MEP services on the project.
Advise and assist the project team on any cost or time issues associated with the original or revised MEP design information.
Represent ALEC for LV & Lighting Control system to consultant & client for overall Project coordination.
Assist the project planner with MEP issues associated with the programming of the works.
Conduct coordination meetings between sub-contractors, consultant, client and also liaise with local authorities to ensure proper coordination of Engineering works & site execution.
Coordinate MEP design information and associated requirements with company Design Department. (Shop Drawings, Builders work, CSD drawings, etc.)
Review and ensure ALEC responsibilities in regards to MEP works are carried out in accordance with the Head Contract requirements.
Ensure the company entitlement to any cost or time claim in regards to MEP works are adequately recorded for administration by the commercial team.
Contribute MEP related information to any periodic project reports produced by ALEC project team.
Assist with planning monitoring and coordination of temporary MEP services with the FMD team.
Key Responsibilities and Achievements:
Identify project requirements (scope and work breakdown, construction material and recommends supplier) and design.
Discuss and obtain approval for Designs / Drawings / Submittal from Consultants/Client
Reviewing design specification & other technical drawings and executing the work with respect to consultant’s specifications while maintaining the Organization’s profit.
Prepares weekly progress reports and weekly look ahead program to ensure and meet the planning scheduled dates of the project
Carries out site visits and inspections as required.
Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
Ensure all the activities are in line with DEWA, SEWA, or other authority policies and procedure.
Prepare monthly invoices as per actual site progress and obtain the desired approvals from the consultant/main contractor.
Preparation of shop-drawings, co-ordination drawings, method statements, material submittals & other related works at early stage of project for smooth execution of works.
Material planning & follow-up for the procurement of the same including Quality assurance and Control.
Follow up of projects with consultants and contractors.
Preparation of red line and as built drawings.
Key Responsibilities and Achievements:
Design (concept, design development and final design), design review all stages to achieve the intended function.
Establish design criteria based upon British standards and consideration of DEWA, SEWA & FEWA requirements in line with good engineering practices.
To obtain approvals from authorities for electrical shop drawings/cable routes approval/inspection requirements.
Perform electrical engineering design for power distribution and related engineering calculations including cable sizing, voltage drop, grounding, Lighting Lux level calculation and load flow.
Monitor the work of the drafting staff for preparing design/shop drawings, co-ordination drawings & as built drawings.
Attend the consultant and client meetings regarding the material submittals/drawings & progress of the project.
Frequent site visits for the various ongoing projects.
Liaison with vendors, suppliers, approving authorities and subcontractors.
Ensure timely finalization of vendors for material for smooth flow of constructional activities.
Monitoring the work progress at various sites by getting daily reports & attending weekly meetings at site.
Head Tendering and pricing for the various electrical works to projects assigned
