Working safely in unit...Ards.(Athmospheric desulfurization unit).

PRESENT COMPANY: Reliance Industries Ltd. Jamnagar (Gujarat) as a Field Operator from June 2010 to till date.
RELIANCE INDUSTRIES LIMITED is Located near village Motikhavdi, District Jamnagar in the West Coast of India. It is one of the World's most Modern and Largest Grass Root Refinery with a processing Capacity of 1300 KBPSD. Beside Crude Distillation Unit the Company is Equipped with further Processing units like Hydrotreaters, Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit, Hydrogen Merox, Sulfur Recovery an d Coker Unit, Poly Propylene Unit, Clean fuel Project, Alkylation's The Process Licenses are given by M/S UOP and EPC was done by M/S BECHTEL
The plant is fully automated with DCS of M/S FOXBORO.
NATURE OF JOB: Presently, I am working as a Plant Operator (Field Executive) in VACUUM GAS OIL/DIESEL HYDROTREATER UNIT (sulfur removal) plant. I have an experience of commissioning precommisioning and start up shutdown.
Responsible for Supervision, Inspection, Coordination, Control, Monitor and report process
PROCESS HANDLED: I hold the detailed operational experience of following areas.
➢ Feed Preheating Section (Furnace Operation)
➢ Reaction area
➢ Separation of Recycle gas and Hydrocarbon
➢ Recycle gas Scrubbing Operation
➢ Compression Section for Recycle Gas (Centrifugal and Reciprocating)
➢ Stripping section and Fractionation of VGO

EMERGENCY HANDLED: I also played a key role in handling various emergencies arrived during normal plant operation like,

➢ Major leak & fire.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY: ➢ Plant start up and shutdown activities.
➢ Start up of Compressor, Pump, Heaters and Smooth line up of Distillation Column, Condenser line up, Plant Start up and Shut down activities.
➢ Ensure standard operating procedures are being followed during the shift to carry out the routine operation of all Major Equipments.
➢ Supervising, trouble shooting and optimization of operating parameters to achieve and improve the target plant performance and quality of product.
➢ Responsible for planning, Monitoring Control of all Manufacturing activity and overall responsibility for manufacturing efficiency of shift.
➢ Ensure that all activities comply with applicable Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, and that personnel and the environment are not subjected to situation of unacceptable risk.
➢ Coordinate with engineering for them to carry out planned/breakdown maintenance jobs in the plant to minimize downtime.
➢ Creating awareness, Monitoring Health a Safety issues among team members.
➢ Follow permit procedure.
SAFTY AWARNESS: ➢ Material Safety Data Sheets.
➢ Handling of portable safety meters like LEL cosmos, IR multiword, Mini OX (Oxygen) & H2S meter.
➢ Application of SCBA set & Online BA set in confined space area & Personal Protective Equipments.
➢ Fire & Gas detector instrument like DGT, DGC, DMC, DGH, DSI, DSO, and DFI & Beacons signals of F&G.
➢ Operation of fire extinguishers, Fire hydrants & monitors.
➢ Safe work permit system & Check list as per British Safety Council.
➢ Know about PSM related procedure.
