Internship in FIFA TV Legacy Programme as Technical Operations Center (TOC) Assistant
As a TOC assistant in FIFA, I was given the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the operations of a major sports organization. During my internship, I was assigned several key responsibilities that helped me grow both professionally and personally. My responsibilities included:
• Pre-tournament:
- Onsite training & orientation. Familiarization with the CIR & its operation. Organize the CIR with the required accessories (keep it clean & tidy)
• Match Day minus 1
- Assist the MRLs with any inquiries, bookings, and cabling queries.
- Support TOC operational team in the patching of all video, audio, and fiber signals within the CIR (cable interconnection room) according to match MRLs-related bookings.
- Test and confirm signals.
• Match Day
- Support the unilateral fully-equipped and one-camera package operations - patching of the relevant camera positions within the pre-cabling patch panels in the CIR according to MRLs bookings.
- Assist MRLs with any problems and liaise with TOC Manager.
- Communicate any issues/problems with TOC Manager.
My internship at FIFA was a great learning experience. It gave me the opportunity to gain insight into the operations of a professional sports organization, as well as gain hands-on experience in the technical aspects of managing a football match. I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such a professional and dedicated team.
SwaYantra, Effective Work and Management Tool
Project: Manual Testing of SwaYantra (Web Based Application)
Description: SwaYantra is a web-based tool that works at the level of individuals, Teams, Organization
and drastically impacts work culture of enterprise by improving the efficiency of Task Management
and team collaboration
Responsibilities:
* Create test scenarios, test cases and after review, test execution
* Functional testing on each and every component of an application
* Usability testing whether application is user friendliness or not
* Acceptance testing, Performance testing
* Detecting bugs & classifying them based on severity, priority
* System testing whether end feature is working or not
* Working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software
development lifecycle
* Planning, creating, and managing the overall Quality Planning strategy
* Conducting the system, regression, function and acceptance testing
* Collaborating with team members to create test plans for enhancements and fixes on
applications
* Interacting with client, customers and helping troubleshooting issues
• Attend client discussions through calls to gather requirements and provide suggestions for

• Review and analyze Functional Specifications and raise questions on items that need clarification.
• Develop technical documents (SRS - software requirements specification) according to the customer’s call flow requirement, including technical implementation process, logic flow chart, and system configuration (develop and document software testing plan).

* 1st line support - troubleshooting of IT related problems from in-house software to hardware,
such as smartphones, tablets, Laptops, PCs and Printers
* Installation, configuration and fault resolution of corporate end user software and technology
* Work within the information technology department answering support queries via phone,
email and in person
* Troubleshoot basic network issues such as ADSL broadband issues, MPLS, Leased Lines
* To arrange for external technical support where problems cannot be resolved inhouse
* To actively participate in appropriate ad hoc IT projects as instructed by the IT Manager.
* Liaise with external service providers, exhibitors, suppliers, company employees and guests
in order to ascertain and resolve any issues
* Create and maintain helpdesk jobs ensuring jobs are correctly assigned and work logs are

* Provide setup, support and maintenance for IT equipment, internal audio/visual and Wi-Fi
internet connectivity equipment
* To resolve faults and answer queries as requested by senior technical staff within the time
frames requested
