Responsible of whole operation in Company right from purchase and sale. Handling end to end business
Handle Import and Export negotiating with suppliers.
Handling total logistics for all Project Shipments of Electrical Equipment to UAE, Oman Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait,
Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Far East, and other countries.
Review and provide input on Transportation & Logistics activities within Major Project's contracts, project
schedules.
Identify and develop risk mitigation plan for transportation of items; ensure that route studies are completed and
are comprehensive in order to mitigate project risk.
Ensure effective coordination of Logistics team with project site team to ensure organizational readiness to receive
all materials and equipment.
Develop and finalize the Transportation & Logistics plan. Support continuous improvement initiatives across all
aspects of Major Projects.
Manage logistics operations including all logistics assets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of cargoes.
Adequate logistics preparedness through contingency planning and continuous logistics preparedness reviews;
Create policies or procedures for logistics activities.
Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues. Ensure
carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
Correspondence with international sellers & buyers related to contracts, documents, letter of credits and
Operations related matter. Co-ordination with Production department for shipment of goods on time.
Meeting with different Intra/Outside Group Supplier for expediting deliveries and preparing minutes of meeting
and share reports with our Project dept.
Ensuring smooth function of cross trades.
Negotiating freight rates with shipping line for container, special equipment for ODC Cargo, Flat Rack, Handling of documents
under L/C’s, issuance of shipping Guarantee etc, checking of documents under L/C.
Negotiating document under LC, Scrutinizing LC received from customer and asking for amendment to make LC favorable for
Company. Fully conversant with UCP DC 600, ICC URR.
Establish cost-effective logistics services to maximize reductions of Freight cost.
Documentation related to Cross Trade, Export/Import Trade, Custom, Shipping, Sea Port, Warehouse, Insurance.
Handling Inbound / Outbound process by SAP application.
Co-ordination with warehouse for Inbound/ Outbound material, Stock availability.
Working with team member to increase efficiency of logistics team.
Timely updates to the management regarding the dispatch and ensure that accurate, complete data and internal control systems are functioning and that all relevant records are maintained.
Analyzing OTD and reporting cluster VPs for the transactional as well as Solution complex business.
Leading the team for SAP new project implementation as SAP Key user.
Leading Import/Export Operation, making strategically plan and manage logistics, transportation and customer
services.
Conduct staff performance reviews, setting objectives, and identifying employee training requirement.
Handling total logistics on Door Delivery basis,
Documentation as per LC terms, Documentation related to Export/Import Trade, Custom, Excise, Shipping, Sea
Port, Warehouse, Insurance, and Govt. authorities, Bank Documents for Import / Export Remittance, Issuance of
Purchase and Sales Contract.
Co-ordination and Negotiation with various Shipping Line/Freight Forwarder/Shipping Agent for Space & Container
booking, Ocean Freight, Vessel Scheduling and B/L like master b/l or Forwarder’s b/l as per terms of shipped on
board, switch b/l, telex release/surrendered b/l, received on shipment B/L,
Arrangement of various types of insurance coverage like ICC 'A', ICC 'C', with/without war risk/SRCC.
Making strategies to reduce the cost of Logistics by doing long term contract with shipping line and negotiating
better rates.
Monitoring & Controlling various Shipping and Logistics cost factors like Basic freight & other hidden cost,
Demurrage, Detention, Port charges, Trucking, Inventory & Warehousing Cost etc.
Identifying clearing agent and arranging timely clearance of goods.
Co-ordination with Clients, Custom House Agent, Overseas Agent, and Export Promotion Council.
Identifying transporter and negotiation for transportation charges/demurrages on vehicle/truck
Co-ordination with Factory’s representative as well as office staff.
Export/Import Clearance under DEPB / Duty Drawback/VKU Scheme.
Solving Queries Raised by Customs Excise Authorities & other Government Agencies
Classification of Goods to CHA with proper Notification
Registration with EXPORT PROMOTION COUNCIL.
Issuance of DEPB, DEEC & DFRC licenses from DGFT
Liasioning with various Government agencies such as Export Promotion Council, Octroi, Excise, Docks, Airport,
DGFT, Plant & Quarantine Office,
Arrangement of Import Permit from Plant & Quarantine Office and Animal Quarantine Office
Key Achievements: Arrange timely clearance of goods i.e. sometime same day clearance of shipment arrived by Air. Set up
system in logistics for reducing the cost of the company by applying proper incentive scheme for export like DEPB, Duty
Drawback Scheme.
