•Records all work done at the Engine Department
•Ensure that all accessories and tools under his care are in good running condition
•Performs navigational and anchor watch
•Familiarizes himself with the handling of various machinery and equipment parts as well as the maintenance of tanks and pipe valves;
•Reports to his superior office any defect found in any machinery and equipment under his custody
