• Implementation of Informatica IICS as a group wide data quality and data cataloguing solution
• Responsible for collaborating with business stakeholders on identification of critical data elements and the application of associated business and technical data quality rules
• Ensuring adherence to policies that encompass the various elements of the data governance framework including data classification, creation of business glossaries and the training of business data stewards across the various business units
• Supporting the analytics and data science team on the development and adoption of business use cases
• Key point of contact responsible for socializing and implementing GDPR and UAE Data law regulations with regards to the review of vendor contracts and business acquisitions.
• Define, enforce, and update data policies and standards across the Group and report non-compliance.
• Work with business to mitigate Data Governance gaps and other identified risk.
• Support the business and technical data owners in development of data management initiatives as per data governance guidelines.
• Support the business and technical data owners within different business units as per data governance guidelines including defining the requirements, monitoring the progress, and developing reports about related KPIs etc.
• Ensure implementation of the defined governance policies, processes, and guidelines across the business units and monitor the compliance.
• Work with DA business partners, data owners, and analytics and engineering teams to understand the critical business questions to be answered and the raw and derived data needs to support the different users and use cases.
• Develop, own, and maintain data schemas, data dictionaries, data catalogs, document metadata, data lineage and applied transformations.
• Define data transformations and business logic required in order to take datasets from their raw form into usable, high-quality assets.
• Establish data quality requirements, monitor data quality trends as per the defined standards and work with data engineers and data producers to resolve and prevent data issues
• Ensure adherence to data usage and access standards and compliance policies
• Project coordination for key data projects such as Single Customer View
• Implementation of Enterprise Data Governance Framework.
• Create data governance processes and controls on Ab Initio Metadata Hub.
• Create and maintain data governance policies and standards.
• Defining key data quality metrics
• Defining Data Ownership Model
• Actively manage data owners, data stewards and data custodian forums.
• Ensuring that data governance roles and the responsibilities are clearly defined and understood.
• Develop training plans for data owners and data stewards.
• Enrol data owners, data stewards and data custodians on Metadata hub to manage key data issues.
• Manage documentation as well as remediation of key data issues.
• Implementation of regulatory and compliance projects such as RDARR.
