PRESENT EXPERIENCE: Currently working in Tenneco Automotive India Pvt. Ltd., (Powder Metal Component-Internal parts of Shock Absorber) Puducherry as a Assistant Manager (QA) from July '1999 to till date.
About Tenneco RC India Pvt. Ltd.:
❖ Tenneco is a leading MNC company in the field of Ride control and Emission control parts. Tenneco is supplying Shock Absorbers to major OEM customer like Ford, General Motors, Toyoto, Maruthi, TATA motors, Mahindra etc., and exporting to various countries.
❖ Tenneco Automotive India also manufacturing Powder metal sintered
parts, which are highly critical and close tolerances.
❖ Tenneco Automotive India is a TS16949:2009 certified company (TUV)
Responsibilities:
➢ Conduct daily morning meeting with inspectors to discuss daily Quality trend.
➢ Ensure quality for all process in morning walk.
➢ Audit the inward parts.
➢ Tag acceptance inward parts through SAP system raise supplier notification for complaints.
➢ Verification of supplier G8Ds.
➢ Prepare & monitoring the daily / monthly Internal & Suppliers PPM trend.
➢ Monitoring the SPC charts for all critical process.
➢ Give training to the employees about SPC / MSA & create TS16949 awareness.
➢ Prepare G8D and Quality alert for Customer & Internal complaints.
➢ Create Info record for new product through SAP (ERP system) QM Module.
➢ Conduct supplier initial assessment & supplier rating audits.
➢ Conduct FORD CQI9 Heat treatment system assessment audit at supplier end.
➢ Prepare APQP & PPAP for NPD.
➢ Give training and encourage the employees to participate Quality circle & SMED competition.
➢ Conduct 5S auditing & scoring at supplier end
➢ Conduct TFS meet once in six months.
1) Eliminated burr in the ERW tube by modified the cutter at supplier end.
2) Reduce drilling lead-time in piston by introduced port type piston at supplier end.
3) Reduce damper rejection & rework by introduced tool profile forming by electrode (to avoid lot mix-up) in the sintered parts.
4) Introduced layer system for avoid scoring & pit marks on incoming piston rods.
5) Introduced depth and alignment gauge for easy checking in Top cap at supplier end.
6) Reduce tool setting for compaction process from 5 hrs. to 1.5 hrs. (through ECRS method)
7) Eliminate coining process in the sintered parts (Cylinder end)
8) Eliminate OD grinding process in pistons.
9) Around 50 lakhs rupees saved yearly by implementation of TVM Cost saving (Elimination of De-burring / OD grinding & Coining process.
10) Reduced the customer PPM from 2500 to 90 by took proper corrective & preventive action.

Flour milling machines like (Cleaning and Grinding) Gravity selector, Rotolipse, Branfinisher, Roller Mill, GT mixer and Machining of Automobile parts like Gear box case, Fuel pump case & Differential case etc.,
