1. Animal Work:
• Maintainence and breeding of nude mice colony for in vivo xenograft experiments with human cancer cell lines.
• Injecting Cell lines subcutaneously and excising the tumor
• Implantation of Heamangioma Tissues into nude mice
2. Tissue Culture Work:
• Maintainence of Breast cancer cell lines like T47D, MCF7, SKBr3, MDAMB 231, MDA MB 453, ZR75-1
• Using these cell lines for different immunological assays
3. Use of Flow Cytometry for determining the expression of cancer cell lines and Estrogen Receptors on Breast Cancer Cell lines.
4. Research work with faculty members from other Department who have collaborative projects with members of the Department of Surgery
5. Statistical Analysis of data regarding the journal Medical Principles and Practices
6. Use of HSC library to search the literature using Medline, Pubmed etc.
7. Preparation of chemicals and solutions required for immunological assays
8. Data entry on Microsoft Excel and plotting graphs based on readings.
9. Preparation of lists for ordering chemicals and consumables.
10. Helping technicians of other department with their culture work.
11. Use of Immunofluorescence microscope for Immunocytochemistry slide scanning, cell counting and to look into the type of staining of cells.
12. Assisting in the preparations of graphical and other materials for teaching
