• Support Plant operation on daily bases by resolving complex instrumentation and controls issues including valve malfunctions / Controller loop tunings/Transmitter calibration & range adjustments/ recommending instrument upgrades, Selection & conversion of pneumatic controllers to electronic controllers / DCS, SIS, PLC &HMI support.

• Performing / supporting equipment pre startup safety checks.
• A fluent understanding of LOTO process and Permit to Work
• Review instrumentation vendor packages after OPEX /CAPEX project completion.
• Prepare proposal, review EWR’s & CWP’s and provide comments and markups.
• Propose replacing discontinued / obsolete instrumentation and control systems.
• Participate and support FAT & SAT.
• Support plant commissioning and start up activities.
• Supervise work of the EPC, contractors.
• Prepare responses to technical queries RFIs, as required.
• Utilization of PI to obtain trends for troubleshooting / plant reliability improvement.
• Participate / support PHA, HAZOP related to upgrade projects.
• Propose safety interlocks design / improvements.
• Conduct alarm rationalization to find and suppress nuisance alarms.
• Review and approve documentation from EPC for green filed project and redline documents from EPC /contractors for brown field projects.

Duties Include but not limited to:

•To ensure deliverable engineering Schedule for meeting engineering and construction required dates.
•Managing Instrumentation Group / Planning and Control of Project activities.
•Responsible for coordination with other disciplines during project execution.
•Progress Reporting / Man Hour Estimation and Control. (Convero) Communication and negotiation with Clients and Vendors.
•P&ID / Shut down hierarchy development and review.
•Participation in Hazop / SIL reviews & FMEA analysis.

•Control Valve /Orifice Plate / Relief valve / Thermowell / Flow meter sizing and calculations.
•Instrument location Layout / cable tray layout drawing creation.
•Hookup drawings, line list, Electrical equipment list Generation.
•P&ID Review & Tag Number Control.
•Proficient in use of smart plant Instrumentation (INtools) software.
