I'm the Academic Quality Leader for the School of Engineering and Trades. I'm responsible of delivering both theory and practical knowledge and skills to the learners. Please refer to my CV for further details about my skills and experiences.
I am also the Academic Staff Representative and a member of the Academic Board and the Academic Standards Committee. My responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
• Managing and leading the refrigeration and air conditioning programme;
• Delivering lectures and workshops to undergraduate students for the following subjects:
(i) Mathematics,
(ii) Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, and
(iii) Fabrication
• Leading the development and delivery of a number of courses and monitor, evaluate and continuously improve the quality of those courses;
• Engaging with relevant industries and other educational institutions including secondary schools;
• Contributing to the School’s and Institute’s research effort;
• Preparing and conducting Literacy and Numeracy assessments for full-time students;
• Preparing course outline including 36 weeks’ time plan (the course tenure) for theory and practical activities and/or lectures;
• Preparing learning materials for both theory and practical subjects;
• Using flipped learning to make the teaching/learning experience more interesting, easily understandable and enjoyable;
• Preparing Programme Evaluation Reports (PERs);
• Setting “catch-up” sessions for those who missed any course work during the year due to work and/or family commitments;
• Looking for employment opportunities for students by the end of their course study;
• Scheduling subjects’ timetable;
• Initiating and managing the e-texting service to keep students informed with course updates; and
• Consolidating and monitoring students’ progress against the 36 weeks course plan.
• As the Academic Staff Representative, I am a member of the Academic Board and the Academic Standard Committee, where I attend the regular meetings and provide feedback for the development of the School and monitor implementation of procedures, processes and guidelines governing the School.

I worked on a project to improve the performance of the currently used CPAP device which is used as a treatment for obstructive sleep apnea. The project was sponsored by Fisher & Paykel healthcare Ltd. and the Ministry of Science and Innovation in NZ.
