Following my official retirement from ExxonMobil Egypt, April 2010, I was hired by BRUNEL Energy in Dubai, as “Human Resources Advisor” to extend professional Human Resources Services to ExxonMobil Iraq Ltd (EMIL). West Qurna 1 (WQ1) project in Basra, Iraq. WQ1 is a joint Operation Unit between, ExxonMobil Iraq Services Ltd. as the lead contractor, the South Oil Company of Iraq, the Iraqi Drilling Company and Shell.
Under that role, I was also appointed as the “Staffing, Secondement & Development Joint Section-Head” (jointly with an Iraqi counterpart), reporting to the WQ1 joint Human Resources Managers:
• Designed and implemented a process to second 1400 South Oil Company employees into WQ1. This included signing of the secondement agreements, induction into the project, and WQ1 internal policy orientation
• Developed “Employees Development Committee Process”; a scheme that ensures the availability of the adequate present and future human resources bench-strength in the organization. It also supports the organization identify High Potential individuals and prepares them for their current and future roles.
• Designed process to standardize: “Staffing” “Cross-Functional Moves”
• Designed a WQ1 database (using MS Access), through this program, instant information about the Iraqi secondees became available to management.
• In 2014 and as a result of EMIL selling part of its WQ1 shares to PETRO China and PERTAMINA (Indonesia), I designed a “Staffing Process” to identify/select candidates from both partners. That included, time-tables and conducting Behavior Event Interviewing training for the selection team; facilitating/participated in the actual 3 rounds of candidates selection in Beijing and Jakarta (2014 - 2015). Process resulted into the successful hiring of 53 candidates.
• Provides instant day-to-day coaching and counseling to the Iraqi Human Resources as well as other WQ1 managers and supervisors on personnel issues.
• Member of the WQ1 Leadership Development Team.

*Defined/implemented a Performance Feedback mechanism among departments to assess/monitor new hires performance

*In 1999 conducted a series of Change Management sessions to prepare the organization for the merger with Exxon. I was asked by Esso Standard Egypt (the Exxon affiliate in Egypt) to co-facilitate similar sessions for the employees
