•First Data Merchant Services(FDMS)
First Data is a provider of electronic commerce and payment solutions. The company's portfolio includes merchant transaction processing services; credit, debit, private-label, gift, payroll and other prepaid card offerings; fraud protection and authentication solutions, credit reporting agency services (through First Data Merchant Services Corporation); electronic check acceptance services through TeleCheck; as well as Internet commerce and mobile payment solutions.

Areas of specialization in FDMS:
•Settlement Warehouse, Statement and 3-Tier Group (SSTG).

Settlement Warehouse, Statement and 3-Tier group falls at the tail end of the credit card processing system. Settlement Warehouse stores the transaction details of the merchants during his settlement period. Statement is primary tool for merchants for reconciliation of all merchant’s activities. 3-Tier is basically a reporting system and used for daily funding notification.
Settlement Warehouse supports and maintains all merchants’ activities during course of settlement cycle. It takes all the data related to merchant’s transaction and stores. These transaction details stored in Settlement Warehouse are used to be presented on merchant’s statement at the time of settlement.
Statement takes feed from Settlement Warehouse and provide merchant with all the data needed to track activity, reconcile submitted batches with Demand Deposit Accounts for settlement cycle. The statements generated in the process, are propagated to print vendor CEDAR for printing and loaded in MSA for online view.
3-Tier is basically a reporting system and used for daily funding notification. It matches a set of all merchant’s transactions with all the transactions for which funding has been done.

•Merchant Account Initiation (MAI).

Merchant Account Initiation falls at the beginning of the processing system. This account basically deals with boarding of the merchants in FDMS. It checks for any fraudulent merchants that were boarded earlier in the account. The check is done with the third party system like Credit Bureau where the fraudulent records can be pulled and desired decisions can be made for the same.
