Track evolution of Product Specifications and performance requirements with Specifying bodies/authorities
Recommend actions and activities for Adnoc products to conform with any changes per the above.
Watch profiles of raw materials that fall into the Adnoc Formulations composition
Review and recommend raw material combinations that optimize quality and cost
Prepare product approval submissions, conduct all necessary field trials and obtain approvals from all relevant bodies
Compile product recommendation database for mostly encountered vehicles, plant and equipment including specifications and approvals
Design and implement value-adding Technical support programs for major customers
Perform equipment surveys and plant studies at customer sites and compile customer specific Lubrication Charts
Evaluate viability and scope of new Lube Loan Equipment proposals to ensure “fit-for-purpose” and cost containment within approved budget
Facilitate and supervise implementation of approved Lube Loan Equipment projects including the procurement cycle - purchase requisitions, purchase orders & vendor payment advices
Liaise with Maintenance Department on Loan Equipment replacement, repairs and maintenance and generate Work Orders as appropriate
Carry out all necessary paperwork for Asset Transfers between customer locations and Asset Retirements
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, job entailed providing Technical support to major Mobil Oil customers in the Mining, Railroad, Manufacturing, Cement and Road transport industries. Also heavily involved in Blending Plant activities, approval of product formulations, Quality Assurance and Control.
Purpose of the job was to retain and grow Mobil business through the use of technical services support programmes, co-ordinating and supervising the work of Lubrication Engineers, Sales Engineers and Oil Analisis Laboratory. I managed to compile 3 customer attested Benefit reports and numerous customer attested Proof of Performance reports of Mobil Oil products which in turn assisted in gaining more business for the company and retaining key accounts in the face of cut-throat competition. I also earned myself 2 entries into the Mobil Pegasus Elite Club which is a Club that recognises those employees who demonstrate, sustainably, the capacity and ability to rise above their peers in the interest of the business.
Design of Heating, Ventilation & Air Condition \{HVAC\} systems for high-rise buildings, factories and hospitals. Supervision during construction and installation of HVAC systems. Worked on the following notable projects
27 Storey Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Headquarters as Site Mechanical Engineer
15 Storey Megawatt House (Office block with banking hall and shops on the ground floor) as Design Engineer
340 Bed Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital as Site Mechanical Engineer
