As a Fleet Manager, accountable for the achievement of the services and key performance indicators set by the Top Management in line with the business demands
Plan and execute all day to day fleet management & workshop activities. Ensure maximum efficiency in the deployment of vehicles to meet requirements of Group Companies and to report periodically to Group director - Logistics
To work out and implement Operation and Maintenance Budget for logistics and fleet department

Team Management - Build a strong and effective team which focuses on service delivery and efficiencies. Design Fleet organization structure, competency mapping, devise career progression plan, defining job description, roles and responsibilities & Key deliverables, identify team training and competency development requirements and execute as per the plan in coordination with HR
Assist in managing and supervising manpower budgetary requirements in coordination with HR. Design and implement career succession plan for the direct reporters to increase the employee retention and satisfaction
Fleet Profile assessment and standardization - Planning, Procurement, Leasing of Fleet, Designing & Fabrication of new fleet as per the Transportation Modes & needs and demands of product range and geography
Well versed with Automobile workshop management, operations to keep the asset up time high in a cost effective manner
Identifying & Implementing Systems and Processes to maximize the utilization of recourses. Inventory Management (Spare parts & Fleet related items) to support fleet maintenance
Monitoring the entire fleet and logistics operations in the Country/ Region/unit/Branches/BUs
Develop and execute an annual fleet operating plan in consultation with Sales operations and finance departments
Vendor evaluation, selection, registration and development to meet various needs of the Fleet department and the organisation. Assist in monitoring & controlling the procurement of spare parts, Tyres lubricants & electricals for workshop to ensure effective quality & cost control
Staff transportation systems and processes implementation in consultation with Personnel department. Effective route planning to ensure optimum utilization/occupation of the fleet and staff safety and comfort
Planning and executing the logistics to suit the changing business needs and demands time to time in close coordination with cross functions
To study and leverage emerging technologies in the FMS application development, GPS based AVLT project, integrate with ERP for empowering the team with adequate info to monitor/control fleet and take prompt decisions
Supervision over Management Information System for Fleet and logistics Division, analysis and initiation of corrective measures
Develop, plan and insist adherence of Schedule maintenance and repairs to ensure uninterrupted Fleet services to deliver reliable customer service
Liaison with authorized agencies of Car / Truck manufacturing/leasing companies, finalising service terms & conditions, price negotiation and management of date to day activities
To ensure statutory compliance for the Fleet. Liaise with transport authority and pollution control department securing necessary permit and certificate pertaining to the fleet
Field visits to understand the ground realities and functioning of Fleet centres, work in close net with front end team to facilitate them perform better and improve the processes
Handle Legal issues related to the company fleet and Drivers/associates
• M/s National Biscuits & Confectionary Company, Jeddah - KSA as National Fleet Manager from Dec 2011 to Apr 2015. Head of department, managing a fleet of 550 own and lease LCV, HCV trucks and passenger cars. The fleet was deployed in 19 branches in KSA and controlling the operations remotely based at HO.
