Serving with the responsibilities for Construction Management of IDB funded ‘Fael-Khair School-cum-Cyclone Shelters Program’ thereby supervising 32nos. buildings construction, safety and quality management issues.
It is a Group of company and I'm working in one of its sister concern. They have highrise modern mixed use commercial building (25-storied), Land development for real estate and 5-Star foreign chain hotel projects. In the Head Office of the Company I have the responsibilities for overall top level management, construction supervision and maintenance of all ongoing construction projects of multistoried Apartment & Commercial mixed-use modern Buildings (up to 25-Storied), 5-Star Hotel (Best Western Chain) Projects, Review and checking Architectural, Structural and MEP working Drawings, ensuring the construction quality as per specification, conducting necessary material tests, Processing and evaluating Tender for getting new projects, corresponding with Govt. & other tendering authorities etc. & Interior Decoration Work management and top supervision of all the offices interior decoration works of the whole Group.
It was a Group of company where I was the Project Manager of one of its sister concern for the ongoing 15 Nos. Appartment Building construction Projects & 2-Nos. Commercial Building construction Projects.I was fully responsible for the Top supervision of the construction, its quality and managements.
Responsibilities:
- Collecting information & preparing progress reports & required estimates, reporting, representing and describing all to the Managing Director for making decision, as I was accountable to him.
- Checking estimates for material for Civil, Sanitary & Plumbing works as per Drawings prepared by office engineers both in my office (Head Office) as well as in the site offices by estimators of construction projects of the firm, visiting all sites periodically.
- Following and checking Architectural Drawings, Structural Designs & Plumbing drawings for construction projects, corresponding with the consultants.
- Monitoring the quality by direct supervision and taking information and preparing comparative chart and progress report project-wise by collecting data through Project Engineers for the timely completion of Projects
- Ensuring material procurements as per requisition through supply department etc.
- I was responsible for overall supervision and maintenance of all on-going construction works of Building Projects as well as Industrial new constructions, maintenance of old constructions, collecting information & preparing progress reports & required estimates, reporting, representing and describing all to the weekly general meeting of the Company Heads for making decision.
- Checking estimates for material as per drawings made by estimation engineers both in my office (Head Office) as well as in the site offices of Residential appartmant construction projects of Property Development Ltd. and ongoing Industrial construction works of the PRAN-RFL Group including Civil works, Sanitary & Plumbing works, and Steel Structure Industrial Building works, visiting all sites time to time, preparing progress report and solve problems through meeting.
- Preparing & checking Architectural Drawing & Structural Design for new and maintenance projects taking help of the consultants. Monitoring the quality by direct supervision and preparing comparative chart project-wise by collecting data through Project Engineers etc.
It was a construction firm working for govt. and semi-govt. construction projects. I was the project engineer and having the responsibilities as follows.
- Supervising construction works at some civil construction projects including Sanitary & Plumbing works and preparing progress reports, reporting the details to the Head Office time to time.
- Preparing estimates for material procurement as per Drawings for some particular construction Projects.
- Checking Architectural & Structural measurements as per Drawing and Design including Steel Reinforcement before casting at site.
- Checking the maintenance of the Ratio of Concrete Mix as well as water cement Ratio at site during casting and also through field Tests.
- Taking samples of materials with the help of other Sub-Assistant Engineers & other staffs, sending for Tests, comparing and analyzing the Test Results for maintaining and assuring the required quality as per given specification.
It was a construction firm widely involved in govt., semi-govt. and private construction projects. as field engineer I had the following responsibilities.
- Preparing estimates for material procurement as per Drawings
- Checking Architectural & Structural measurements as per Drawing and Design including Steel Reinforcement.
- In case of Cast-in-situ Pile Foundation - checking the maintenance of the verticality through Leveling Instruments maintained by other staffs, maintaining the Ratio of Concrete Mix as well as water cement Ratio through field Tests.
- Taking samples of materials with the help of other Sub-Assistant Engineers & staffs, sending for Tests, comparing and analyzing the Test Results for maintaining and assuring the required Quality, Quantity Surveying etc.
