• Currently working at KESC as an Assistant Operation Engineer. My mandate is to assist the manager and ensure efficient power generation process.

Responsibilities:

 Overall supervision of the plant operation during the shift.
 Supervise start-up, synchronizing, loading rates, shut-down of the Unit, & handing over for maintenance requirements with the help of Manager Shift.
 Handing over and taking over charge between outgoing & incoming shifts are to be precise at the level of Asst: Manager Shift / Staff.
 To assist Manager Shift to take charge of any major fault or emergency situation arising during the shift.
 In case of tripping and other major faults investigate the cause and prepare report to be entered into log-book.
 In case of partial or total break down of supply, to restore the station supply in minimum possible time with the guidance of Manager Shift.
 To check the fire fighting equipment and report abnormality, if any, to Manager Shift.
 Fill accident form in case of injury to staff member, as per factory, act.
 Co-ordinate with LDC for startup and shutdown of the generating set according to system requirement.
 To prepare daily generation statistics (input data) of Power Station.
 To have all the positions in the Power Station properly manned.
 Carry out inspection after shutdown.
 Arrange in service training of Operation Staff.
 Administering the BQPS - Operation Section during the duty shift in accordance with the orders to the Management, Rules & Regulations in practice.
