Key result Areas:

•Understanding the docking plans & relevant drawings, highlighting the priority of the vessels in the docks and coordinating with Marine, Docks, Divers & Ship Repair Managers
•Preparing drawings, sketches and calculations of ships stability and ballast condition
•Reviewing and monitoring the required plans of vessels scheduled for dry-docking
•Responsible for guiding and providing technical information about the ships to be docked
•Operating Computer Aided (AutoCAD) Software for drafting the preliminary and final drawings
•Responsible for operating reproduction equipment/machine such as blue printing machine plotters and printers
•Liaising with different departments, shops and subcontractors to ensure the safety of docking the vessels
•Carrying out keel block inspection with the client before docking the vessels
•Conducting dry-dock inspection after the vessel is docked and monitoring ship repair site
•Involved in planning effectively to minimize the transfer of dock blocks from one dock to another
•Drafting berth arrangement and lifting arrangement of different vessels for Marine Department
•Formulating docking plans for RIGS, NAVY VESSELS, YACHTS, etc. and sending for approval from the client before docking
•Hull steel repair, ultra sonic thickness gauging for hull plate, steel repair sketches location on shell expansion drawing, record of all clearances & reading for handing over to superintendent & class surveyor. sea grids, anodes, propellers, tail shaft ( Removal for survey or normal wear down clearances, rope guards, rudders ( Upper pintle & lower pintle, bush clearances)
•Inspection of rubber coating, blasting and painting activities of ship structure as per standards.
•Engine room job instructions (Main propulsion engine, auxiliary engines, alternators, fuel oil and Lube oil Purifiers, air compressors, air receivers, pumps, main sea suction valves, sea strainers after main sea suction valves, main sea cross over pipes between port & starboard sea chests & sea suction valves, oily water separators, shaft generator, bilge/ballast/fuel oil/compressor/fresh water/lube oil/hydraulic pipes renewal, Intermediate valves, overboard discharge valves, Engine exhaust pipes, Turbocharger, fuel injection pumps, injectors)
•Ensuring that the safety, quality & environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed
•Performing other job related duties as assigned by the Section Head
